How the College Application Essay Became So Important — TIME magazine article from 2024. gives a brief overview of the process before the college essay was really a huge thing which was after ponyboy would've been in college.

1967-1968 Catalog of Peru State College (Nebraska) — Catalog for the Peru State College. i used this for my fic landscape with a blur of conquerors where ponyboy was applying for college. gives good insight into the process.

applying to college in 1960 — a copy of an application for admission in the Flora Macdonald College catalog for 1959-60. i also used it as a resource for my fic.

Central High School Curriculum: 1962 & 1976 — these two curriculum booklets describe the subjects and courses available to students at central high school in pennington – first in 1962, and then more than a decade later in 1976.

junior college of broward county catalog, 1966 - 1967 — another college catalog with information on applying.

fiance and i were talking about sex dimorphism in lizards and how the dragons are more lizard like than snake like (that would be wyrms) and so in dragons the ones that are female would be far smaller than the male while wyrms it would be the opposite and so were wondering if Vise.rion and Rha.egal are girls but Dro.gon is a boy and that is why they are smaller, not because Dro.gon eats more. like Dro.gon is the more dominate of the dragons so maybe he took the male role and the other two to make it easier to expand the species stayed female. more than that, he is a darker color, and the other two are brighter, in the likes of cuban false chameleons and iguanas are that way, the males a darker more subdued color and the females brighter.

I definitely agree w/ you that as a cis person, I shouldn’t write about trans experiences. I do have a story idea I’ve been working on and I want the mc to be trans but I don’t want to impose on any issues I should be speaking on, do you have any references or pointers on how I can make it clear to the audience that the character is trans w/o overstepping my boundaries and speaking over trans people about their experiences?

i recommend looking at resources like weneeddiversebooks as a good starting place, and in general reading stories written by trans authors is a Must. there are plenty of nonfiction personal essays online

tried to lean towards stuff i didn’t do in the last pack to avoid just… making the same icons all over again

and some stuff that i wasn’t asked for and just thought would look nice in icon form
