FRUITY FOUR
And there may be a third to finish this court... but we never know...
so sorry if you've talked about this, but may i ask why shinigami eyes is transphobic? is it a matter of people intentionally using it to silence ppl they disagree with, or is it a fundamental issue with the software/creators?
a little of both. end-users have been using it to perpetuate community bias (namely intersexism, racism, and transandrophobia) for quite a while, and these reports are supposedly manually approved by the dev team. whether this is poor moderation or bigotry from the mods themselves, it's not a good look.
shinigami eyes considers the "obvious troll identity" of transfem afab (alongside transmascs amab, these people are usually just nonbinary or intersex) anti-trans, meaning by their guidelines simply being transfem and assigned female at birth should get you flagged even if everybody uses the reporting system correctly. they also compare "theyfab" to "transmed."
the dev team responded to the criticisms they received, no matter what they were, with the same copy-pasted response, which was:
Transmasculine, intersex and xenogender people are welcome. Just don't use "AFAB trans woman", as it forces trans women to use "AMAB" or "male", aligning your goal with that of TERFs.
aside from three reviews which did get unique (but still terrible) responses.
anyone ever considered using the ace of hearts as a symbol for specifically alloace people? I feel like that makes sense
I started listening to "Queery" with the Harvey Guillen episode, and I thought, "This is a nice and interesting podcast."
Then I listened to the Vico Ortiz episode and I had to stand there in my kitchen listening to two people discuss exactly how my gender identity feels like in a way I had never been able to articulate
Queerties season is upon us—don’t miss your chance to vote for your faves...
Our Flag Means Death has been nominated for best comedy series and Vico Ortiz has been nominated for best performance!
Accidentally emailed one of my clients who were late on payment with subject title “payment queery” (yay dyslexia) happy end of pride month everyone
