Responsibility (WIP)

So here’s what I’ve gotten done so far of Quoisey’s redesign. A friend re-brought up the idea of giving her a weapon that can be used both as a spear and like the dual-wielding type of swords, so that’s why the handles are there. I’m still trying to figure out how to give her a weapon that’s unique and cool (not to mention distinguishable from Ellise’s sword) and yet not like ridiculously anime.

In other news, she looks really swol in this and I feel like I wanna play with that, especially because her design has always been in the vein of ‘elegant warrior’ (I mean she had ballet slippers fgs) 

more to come (plus some character analysis on Ellise because lbr we’ve done next to nothing on her. Also BOTF with more solidified names and maybe I’ll figure out the timelines)

A break from the shays - here’s Witch!Maxie and Pixie!Quoisey. Also, is it just me or does sidesaddle seem way more practical (not to mention comfortable) for riding broomsticks?

I wouldn’t blame you if you asked to terminate our contract

*why*

so, at some point, Maxie and Quoisey go to like this progress evaluation in the fairy world and every bit of their training is criticized by Quoisey’s mom, especially the relationship, mostly bc of said mom’s own regrets.

But because of how Q was raised, she blames herself and goes into this whole self-conscious spiral, basically begging Maxie to terminate their contract bc she doesn’t think she’s worthy

Only for Maxie to say FUCK THAT, I love you and don’t give a shit, essentially deciding that her mom’s legacy isn’t as important as this fae, this strong, determined person who essentially just offered to give up her own happiness just because she didn’t want to stand in the way of another’s dream. 

Afterwards, one or both of them royally tells off Q’s mom bc this isn’t what Maxie’s mom would have wanted, no mater what the tradition is.
