Queso Turkey Burgers are a tasty twist on traditional burgers, featuring ground turkey mixed with cheddar cheese, green chilies, and spices. These burgers are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup diced green chilies. 1/4 cup diced red onion. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1 egg. 1/2 teaspoon cumin. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Sliced avocado optional. Sour cream or salsa for topping.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, diced red onion, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat and oil the grates or skillet to prevent sticking. Place the turkey burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are fully cooked and have a nice char on the outside. While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned. Once the burgers are done, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a turkey patty, tomato slices, and sliced avocado if desired. Top with a dollop of sour cream or salsa, and cover with the top bun. Serve the Queso Turkey Burgers hot with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy your delicious homemade Queso Turkey Burgers!
