The clip is cut from the most recent Livestream of the Questers. Bendy Bro is facing the camera sitting crisscross on the couch. Cuphead Dish sits lounged back and slightly angled to keep both the camera and Bendy in his line of vision.
"What was the most humorous microaggression you guys have ever experienced?"
Bendy leans back from the screen, his eyes flick to Cuphead for a split second. "I don't know if this counts as a microaggression. But this memory keeps haunting me." He turns to Cuphead who brings his hand up to his face to cover a snicker.
"No seriously, this is by far the most bizarre interaction I have had with someone because I'm a demon." He motions with his hands before turning back to the camera.
"So this was before the whole quest thing when I worked as a mechanic back in Sillyvision. I'm working the graveyard shift because we were poor and this old ass pinto pulls up in front of the shop and just stalls out."
"Oh stars."
"Apparently this poor guy was driving his very pregnant wife who had just gone into labor to the hospital when the car decided it didn't want to car. He runs into the shop and almost takes the door off its hinges but my boss doesn't yell at him cuz he looks like he's 2 seconds away from a panic attack. He tells us what happened and I pull the car into the bay and start working on it."
" 'Pulled the car into the bay' he says, cussing demon strength."
"Thankfully" bendy gives him a side eye. "I was able to find and fix the issue in like 10-12 minutes. So I finish up and my boss is billing the soon to be dad when the very pregnant lady walks up to me. She takes both my hands in hers and leans down to look me in the eye."
Cuphead snorts at imagery, Bendy flicks his thigh with his tail.
"And she asks me wholeheartedly if that I would ride with her in the backseat to the hospital. And I can't just say no to this lady. She just spent the last 20 minutes talking to me about how she's been having the Braxton Hicks for 2 hours before the car broke down. Because the nearest hotel that wasn't booked was 3 hours away from the hospital. And she had to come to this hospital because the midwife in her village foresaw something about the birth, I don't remember what."
"Damn."
" Yeah, I remember her mentioning that her village was very, very superstitious. She was very clearly not having a good time so I couldn't really say no to this poor woman."
"So there I am in the back of their car at like 2 in the morning trying to comfort her through the Hicks. Her husband pulls out of the shop and I ask her 'Are you sure you want me here?"
Cuphead, interested, leans forward. "Uh-huh."
Bendy turns to face him.
"She looks at me dead in the eye and says I quote. 'Demons are less likely to eat my baby.'"
"WHAT!?" Bendy shrieks, at the same time Cuphead flings himself back erupting in laughter. Several other voices from off camera launch.
"MAMA! How do you come to this conclusion!" He shouts, smacking his hands to the side of his forehead.
"Like I understand how someone would come to the conclusion that demons eat babies, based on reputation and the only available information on us being old myths and fairy tales." He drags his hands down his face.
"But why is it that we are LESS likely to do that. What could have possibly led to think that!"
He yanks his hands away from his face and looks to someone off screen. "Not messing with kids is like the only set of laws down there. I can't believe I have to say this but guys I have never and will never eat a baby. Eating babies is NOT okay!" Cuphead coughs out a crunchy laugh ruining his attempts at calming down.
Bendy turns to him and lightly pats his back as the dish folk leans over trying to stop the coughing. As the cough dies down Bendy turns back to the camera.
"Which leads me to the three main concerns I had. First of all, why do you think demons are less likely to eat your baby?"
"Second, why do you still want me near you If you believe there is a chance I will eat your baby?"
"And third, who the cuss is the 'more likely' party to eat your baby?! Why is your baby being eaten a concern?"
From beside him Cuphead let out an under the breath chuckle.
"This entire time I have been under the assumption that this lady had mistaken me for a cat. Happens all the time. But nope, she was very aware that I was a demon."
"She never expanded on that and I was so bamboozled by everything that I never managed to ask any clarifying questions. So now that entire experience haunts me to this day."
Cuphead huffed out a wheeze before wiping a from the side of his face. "So wait, why was the baby being eaten a concern. Was something following them?"
"Dude I don't know."
"Did she think your presence was like, " he flicked his hand. "Warding something off?"
"I don't know! She never expanded on anything. I was so confused, I zoned out for A majority of that car ride so I never got a chance to ask her anything."
"Bendy." He dropped his face into his hands. " How does this kind of stardust keep happening to you?"
"I don't know. My other story though is your fault."
"My fault?"
"Yes your fault! You know that stupid little bit you did where you put Alice and I shoulder and said 'Oh look I got an angel and demon on my shoulder."
"Yeah" he stifled a laugh,
"Well when you did that bit in that Ibex's shop. Where you snatched me off the ground and put me on your shoulder and said way louder than you needed to "The demon on my shoulder is telling me to 'go do this stupid thing. Then as soon as you left to go do that stupid thing, the old Ibex at the counter gave me the stink eye for the rest of the time I was in the shop."
"Which, okay. I understand if he didn't realize I was a demon, again mistaking me for a cat. But someone in the group had previously brought up the fact that I'm a demon right in front of him."
Cup snorted. "Seriously, did this guy think you were like, some kind of." He paused, searching for the word. "Shoulder demon."
Bendy cackled "Ah I have finally discovered my subspecies."
In a funny voice he spoke. "Cuphead It's me. The humble shoulder demon." He formed his hands into a claw shape and playfully jabbed at him. "I'm here to convince you to do sin. Let's steal candy from babies and small businesses."
Another masculine voice burst into laughter from behind the camera.
A smirk forms on Cupheads face. "I mean you are small enough to be a shoulder demon." Bendy pauses for a moment before slowly turning to look at him as a look of annoyance washes over his face. Suddenly he lunges at the dish man he causing him to screech. The clip ends seconds before he lands on him cutting off the scream.
Quest AU but instead of Ortensia dying for the 596th time, have either Mickey or Oswald die and the remaining brother go absolutely batshit insane trying to bring the other back or be absolutely depressed and unresponsive.
This would make them become direct parallels and/or put them in opposition to Bendy and Boris, showcasing to them and the audience who they might become depending on the choices they make through the journey. What path should they choose? Should they stop chasing the seemingly unattainable and let their brother die with some grace in a comfortable environment, or will they go through any lengths to save their brother, no matter what or who they sacrifice along the way in order to make sure their brother lives, even if it means thousands of toons will have to die.
The studio gang character sheet (currently working on the others) ofc I’ll keep drawing their actual cartoon designs for reference.

Title au: Toons Quest: for The End Tape (TQ!AU) (TQFTET)
I took inspiration from the original 1930s style, as well as BATDR and the deigns of the original toon designs. This took me a while to make, due to already made and used designs from other similar AUs such as BABTMOTM and BABTQFTIM. I will come out and confirm, yes, this was inspired by those AUs, but is NOT the same story or designs, I am not associated with those creators.
Within the future after I release all of the designs I’ll start making a tumblr page for you guys to interact and free ask the characters while I finish up writing the story and endings of chapter 1 of this project.
I plan to make this AU as interesting as I can for you guys and hope you all enjoy my work as much as I love doing it, thank you for your time.
