What is your earliest childhood memory?
My earliest childhood memory… I was probably 4 years old. It was the first time we went to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. I wanted (quite desperately) to go on this water ride. I was just tall enough. I begged my parents to let me go on this ride. They, eventually, said yes. We waited in line for an hour; I was so excited. We are lined up to get on the ride and we get first row. My parents sit on either side of me, one in front and one in back. The first hill is nothing, piece of cake. Then the second hill was in the dark, and I was afraid of the dark, so I got a little panicked. Then we see this light, and I was happy to be at the final hill. Until we got to the top. I looked down and everyone looked so small. There was a split second at the top of the hill before we dropped. I was screaming at the top of my lungs. When we got off the ride, I was crying, and I said to my parents, “How DARE you let a little girl go on that ride!” So that was fun.
If you could restart your life as a newborn would you? Why?
Probably not. I like my life as is. I’ve had my ups and downs, sure, but those ups and downs have made me who I am today. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Besides, who would want to go through those angsty teenage years again? The seventh grade emo phase? No thanks, I’ll pass.
What about if you could change your identity?
Again, I’m happy being who I am. I wouldn’t mind having a secret double identity though. I could fight bullies with my awesome skills and knowledge.
Tell me about your favorite book.
Hmmm… I’m not sure if I could pick a favorite. It really depends on my mood, so I will tell of both of them.
The Fault in Our Stars: This book really gave me feels. Like, seriously. One of my friends was diagnosed with brain cancer while I was reading this, so the book really hit home. Everything about that book is just so amazing. John, you did a great job. I honestly think it should be required reading.
Harry Potter: I can’t really narrow it down to a single book in the HP series. But these books will remain in my heart, always. I was able to escape reality when I read these books. They sent me to a new world where my bullies couldn’t hurt me. Hogwarts will always be there to welcome me home. Thanks J.K. Rowling for offering me an escape.
Unpopular opinion?
Well, depending on your definition of “unpopular,” I have plenty of unpopular opinions. But one that is super unpopular is my stance on beauty. I believe that, as long as you are kind and generous, you are beautiful. Hair doesn’t matter. Body type doesn’t matter. Skin, sexuality, gender, eye color, height, none of it matters as long as you treat others with respect. But a lot of people disagree, from what I can tell.
What’s something you’re looking forward to?
I am both looking forward to and dreading my graduation from high school. I am really excited to have a little more freedom and whatnots. I’m looking forward to being more independent.
What song will always have you dancing?
Ok there has not been a time where Cotton Eyed Joe has come on and I haven’t danced. It’s required. My feet just can’t stop when that song comes on.
What was your favorite thing to do when you were little?
I really liked to sing when I was little (and I still do). I would walk around my house and sing random songs, and sometimes I would make up my own songs. Singing just filled me with joy (it still does).
What’s your favorite smell?
I really like the smell of lavender. It’s really relaxing. I also looooove sweet pea. It reminds me of my first “relationship” when my “boyfriend” bought it for my birthday.
What’s the weirdest clothing item you own?
Oh jeez, I don’t know! Probably the cape that me and my sister share. She made it herself. I usually wear it on Harry Potter day during Spirit Week at school. Or on May 2nd, the day of Lord Voldemort's downfall. Other than that, I don’t really own any weird clothing.
My questions for you are:
What’s your favourite movie genre?
What’s your favourite movie and why?
What do you want to be when you grow up?
How do you feel about bananas?
Do you ever wish you were someone else, if so, who?
If you could change anything about yourself (appearance or feelings/emotions), would you?
Tell me a joke.
Have you ever been in love?
What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Have you complimented someone today, if so, how did you feel about it?

1) If you suddenly acquired a huge amount of money what would you spend it on?
I would probably buy a car and put some money aside for future car insurance (what a boring and practical answer).
2) Do you believe in ghosts? why?
The closer it gets to Halloween the less I believe, simply because they become very commercialised. However, I do believe in some sort of spirit of the afterlife.
3) Have you ever managed to keep a diary?
Yes! When I was younger I'd write about my day on scraps of paper and most of these have been lost over the years. However, since the 20th December 2012 I have kept a diary everyday with only a few exceptions (i.e. on residentials etc. when I haven't wanted to bring it with me) when I have summarised the missed days.
4) Do you have any nicknames? If so what?
im-not-normal-at-all calls me 'Bookworm' and I used to get called 'Tony' by my friends in year eleven.
5) What’s the one thing you want to do in life before you die?
6) Do you have any favourite quotes?
I have so many! Pretty much anything by John Green, especially
"nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.”
Which I use at least once a week.
At the moment I also have a bank of favourite quotes/poems from World War One related literature, including:
"They surpassed us only in phrases and cleverness" -which is a German soldiers description of a German officer from Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front.
"A. 'I was a "have".' B. 'I was a "have-not".' (Together). 'What hast thou given which I gave not?'" - which is Rudyard Kipling's Equality of Sacrifice, one of his many epitaphs of the war. You know who Rudyard Kipling is, right? The guy who wrote The Jungle Book and who lost his son in the First World War after fighting to put him there?
7) Favourite telly show and Otp?
Ahh, I've stopped watching a lot of TV. I quite like Queer of Folk at the moment, which is a programme I never expected to like, and my OTP from that is Michael and Ben.
8) If you could travel to anywhere in the world and stay there for 2 weeks where would you go?
Somewhere in France. I mean, I'm going to France later this year for a week but I'd really like to just go on my own somewhere non-English speaking so I'd be forced to speak the language.
9) What’s your best achievement?
I think it's probably my GCSEs at the moment. There are lots of things I'm proud of, but my results would be the best "achievement".
10) What’s the last book that you read? Would you read it again?
The last book I read was All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, which I borrowed from my English Literature teacher but I'm definitely going to buy my own copy in the future and re-reading it when I'm not focused on how I could use it for my exam.
My Questions:
If you had a snail that could magically grant wishes, what would you name it?
If you had the choice to live with a gorilla who knows sign language or a dog who sings lullabies, which do you choose?
What would a Utopian society be to you?
Would you rather be a dog or cat? Why?
If you could ask one person (alive or dead) three questions who would you ask and what would the questions be?
What's the earliest thing you can remember?
Would you like to be someone of the opposite sex for the week, just to see what it's like?
What would you do to your worst enemy if you had the chance to do anything you wanted?
Is there anybody in your life that you miss at the moment?
Have you ever caved in to peer pressure? If so, what was it and how would you have changed it if you could go back in time?
