First Disney Movie? Little Mermaid. It came out the same year I was born, but I believe my parents waited until it came out on VHS to have me watch it... I do however, actually *remember* watching Toy Story in theatres as a kid, whereas I don’t recall Little Mermaid until I was older.
Favourite Disney Princess Movie (Besides BATB or It’s Remake)? Tangled. It’s a wonderfully sunny movie full of great songs, and Flynn is freaking awesome.
Favourite Disney Princess (Besides Princess Belle)? Kida! Wait why doesn’t she count oh yeah your movie wasn’t a musical sorry girl Rapunzel. Artist-dreamer-optomist-with long hair? Yeah, I get you girl. You get your dream. Get it for both of us.
Favourite Non-Princess Disney Movie? Treasure Planet. Or maybe The Great Mouse Detective. Both are super under-rated and super fun!
Favourite Disney Song? “After Today” from A Goofy Movie. It never ceases to put a smile on my face! (If we’re going traditional Disney classics, then probs the Belle Reprise. Because the feels!)
Non-Disney Related Fandom? Harry Potter, Labyrinth (it occurs to me how many of my fandoms are Disney movies or TV shows)
One Random Fact About You? While everyone and their cousin knows I am obsessed with penguins, my other favorite animals include bats and giant anteaters. And griffins, except they’re mythological.
What’s your favourite moment from the BatB 2017 live action and why? I loved Evermore in its entirety (just, superb cinematic and symbolic moments there I could gush about for paragraphs) but also the bit where Belle asks what Beast is reading, and he gets all flustered and is like “No, it’s King Arthur! Swords and fighting and definitely not a love story!” Oh no wait, scratch that. Ultimate fangirl moment for me was when they put that “Do you think you could grow a beard?” line into the final bit of the movie. I smacked my husband on the leg like fifteen times squealing “YES YES YES they put it in, they put it in!!”
Who is your favourite Disney villain and why? Professor Padriac Ratigan. Not only is he voiced by the late, great Vincent Price, but he’s also animated by Glen Keane! And who doesn’t love a rat “mouse” based on Professor Moriarty?
What (if any) is your favourite piece of fan-media for BatB (original or 2017)? Can be fanvid, a song, a fanfic, etc.

My Question: Which BATB character do you identify with the most and why? Belle. I know it’s corny, but I always felt super out of place in school and I loved to read. I was always the girl who knew mythology and all these crazy cryptids, liked Disney way too much... But Belle likes who she is and doesn’t apologize. She owns it. And she’s freaking beautiful too, you know? (And it’s funny, but my husband acts a lot like Beast/Adam and it’s one of those cosmic-aligning weird soul mate things that I can’t even pretend isn’t for realzies. Thumbs up, universe, thumbs up.)
