hi, i have a question. hope this is the right place to ask it.
i'm afab and sometimes call myself agender because it doesn't matter to me. i dont mind being a girl either. i don't really care about pronouns, i will go by any of she, they, it, but not really he (but maybe that's another thing). i know pronouns don't necessarily represent gender.
the thing, is when looking at girls I just feel very disconnected from them. just the way they talk, act and behave around others and the things they care about. maybe it's the culture I'm around where most people act in conformity. and i think maybe it's a gender thing. then i look at guys and I'm like that's definitely not me. maybe I'm just nb. or maybe I'm neurodivergent or something.
i just want to know if this is a thing other nb people experience. is this how you realise you're nb?
Hello, friend.
What you're describing is certainly a valid way to realize you're nonbinary! Feeling as though you're missing something wrt your assigned gender, or that you're an outsider looking in are both ways I've heard it described.
It could also be a neurodivergence thing, but that doesn't mean you also can't be nonbinary. A lot of neuroatypical people feel a disconnect with gender. There's even an umbrella term for genders associated with neurodivergence, "neurogender".
If you want to call yourself agender, go ahead! I say this as the official Agender Spokesperson™ as voted by the Nonbinary Council.
Personally, my experience with realizing that I was nonbinary was pretty different. Since I will be posting this question, maybe some followers will want to give you their own stories in the notes? :)

Based strictly on what's in your closet today, describe what outfit you'd pick to make yourself feel good. What about the outfit to thoroughly titillate a lover?
Oh, fun question!!!
I’ve recently purchased a brightly-colored 1950s style dress with a full skirt and v-neck that makes me feel pretty and flirty and happy. I’d choose that with a chunky heel with an ankle strap. For a necklace, something glinting and fine. My hair has pretty curls today and is longer than I’ve worn it in years, so I’d leave it down. Just a hint of makeup to finish the look and a shawl for going out.
Dressing for my lover today I’d pick a different look: hip-hugging jeans and high-heeled boots with a low cut, soft blouse and a black leather moto jacket. I’d make my eye makeup a bit smokier but leave the lips glossy pink and hair loose and curly.
Thank you for asking.

Emma’s Secrets
All kittens ask questions. That is just the way of the young.
Emma did not ask as many as most. But when one had a sister like Cyrus there was no need.
Cyrus was good about always asking the important questions. Sometimes. But there was one question Emma was quite persistent about asking long after her sister had moved on to other topics. Well, technically it was two. They were:
“Where do babies come from?”
“Is that how I was born?”
Unfortunately she never had never gotten a satisfying answer.
“The usual way.” Pouncival answered the first time she asked one quiet evening in their den “You were a blessing.”
That satisfied Cyrus, who returned to playing with a toy mouse, quite contented.
But Emma was not satisfied and asked everyone she thought might give her a straight answer.
“From their parents.” Jenny said distractedly, when she asked during a checkup “You were a blessing.”
“From mothers.” Munkustrap told her with his usual brisk gentleness when she asked him during a play date with the other kittens around her own age “You were a blessing.”
“From a mother's belly.” Jellylorum replied with her usual age appropriate censorship while measuring the kitten's neck to ensure the pretty green collar she was making would fit “You were a blessing.”
“Kittens can pop out of the weirdest places.” The Rum Tum Tugger shrugged with his characteristic nonchalance while giving her a hand with perfecting her spins “You were a blessing.”
“It doesn't matter where a cat comes from so much as where they end up.” Old Deuteronomy informed her wisely when she asked during her first ball “You were a blessing.”
Emma supposed there were worse things to be then a blessing. But she wished they would just give her a straight answer.
Thankfully it wasn't a lost cause.
“Ask again when you are older.” Coricopat and Tantomile said when she asked them one night.
She had been thrilled to receive a different answer to her second question. It gave her hope that someday she could ask the question she never could. So she could tell the secrets filling her soul.
All she needed was the right answer to her second question.
You were once a brick.
Your soul was put in a brick.
The Everlasting Cat got a bit confused and put you in a brick.
Any of these would work. But she needed to hear them because it was the only way to ease the other cats into what she had to tell.
That she remembered being a brick. She remembered it quite clearly.
But that wasn't the important part of what she had to tell. What was important was that she remembered before.
But for now only the moon and stars shared her secrets.
Slipping out from beneath the sprawled out and snoring bodies of her family she silently left their den every night to climb to the top of tallest junk pile. Emma's tall twitched as she gazed up at the moon, contemplating all the secrets locked up inside her as she softly sang.
“Sunlight through the trees in summer. Endless masquerading . . .”
(What’s this? a fanfic almost completely ignoring the existing canon of an oc in order to explore a random plot bunny i had? why yes it is! @whitmerule i hope you don’t mind me borrowing your OCs for a bit! and i hope you like it!)
(Quick story notes: 1. the reason i have Tugger helping Emma spin is because i have a minor headcanon that he helped Misto perfect his conjuring turn and became the go to cat for perfecting that move. 2. I envisioned that Jellylorum made Emma’s green braided collar - which i drew her in- as a sort of “welcome to the tribe” gift. 3. like most of Cats that last part is open to interpretation!)
My worst Human idea
So.... my worst idea for a new type of humanity...
so saying “spill it” or “Cough it up” will make anybody actually throw what ever they are trying to hide up. BUT every one has a tell.
lets take Tommy (5 yo) for example. Tommy takes Sasha’s stuffed animal because he wanted it. After hiding the toy the teacher found out and asked him to return it. He would not talk and was getting on the last nerve of the teacher. after a few more times asking. The teacher sighed and said “Tommy, cough it up.”. Tommy begins tearing up and coughing. he throws up the stuffed toy.
This is not limited to physical objects. It could also be done with secrets.
lets take Zoe (21 yo) for example. Zoe is Pregnant and doesn’t want to tell her father yet. But has a habit of biting her lip when she is hiding something. Her father notices and says “just spill it already!” and then... In just 3 seconds a fetus grows to a baby and throw it up by Zoe.
Throwing up “Coughing” stuff up has no physical consequences, So theoretically you can Thro Cough up a elephant...
But it still is very much like throwing up. You will still feel the accompanied Symptoms of throwing up.
you're msot welcome :D how did you find that idea for the design of his mask btw?
There’s an animator I watch called Seelmaru who’s characters all have the really large bottom teeth- I really like the look of them and thought it would make for a cool mask on Marvin! ^ ^
