Been thinking a lot of how both the joker and Batman wear their own masks to be who they are. The joker who was a low level criminal (not even that basically was no one ) Only truly became the Joker after his transformation giving him this permanent mask (separating him from his old self )
Of course Batman wears his mask as well separating him from Bruce
But both use their masks as a way to be things they wouldn’t be otherwise.
They’re just two sides of the same coin
I can’t believe I had to explain to my roommate that the Flash IS faster than Superman

I believe Dick Grayson takes the role of Nightwing to separate himself from Batman. He has lived in his shadow so long and has learned so much from him making him a great hero yet none of the comics do his character justice.
The way I see it Batman trained and prepared Dick to take over but yet the only leadership role we see him in is in the Teen Titans comics.
Long story short I believe Batman should have swallowed his pride long ago and asked Dick to take over. Not only are his skills on par with Batman but he has also managed to maintain this kindness that you would never see Batman show and that would make him a better Batman than Bruce in his later years.
