Anglea, like so many other people, wore something to cover her wrists, to keep the name of her soulmate from people who didn’t need to know it. Angela’s cover of choice were a pair of gloves. She was careful when switching them for patients, choosing darker colored latex gloves, but she wore the gloves all the time. She knew the name on her wrist, almost as well as she knew her own.
It was beautiful, and Angela had spent more than one night wondering what Fareeha looked like, what movies she liked, if they would even get along.
Angela was sent to help out a private security company out of Egypt called Helix. She hadn’t really expected much to come from it - she was just supposed to make sure as many as possible made it out alive. She had arrived too late to really get to know everyone’s names, but she knew she would recognize them by the armor that they wore.
The mission was, fortunately, a success, but Angela was far too tired to leave now. She had a few more days before she was scheduled to leave and sight-seeing could be fun…
One of the soldiers, a woman with a tattoo under her eye, came over to Angela, a friendly smile on her face. Angela smiled and faced her, glad she had yet to change out of her Valkyrie armor now that she saw that the soldier was still in her Raptora armor.
“We did not get a chance to meet before the mission began. My name is Angela Ziegler. I’m glad the mission was a success.”
Fareeha was unsociable, that’s what everyone said. She
too much, and gave off a scary air to those around her. But she was
not to be that person any more. So when she heard news of a new Doctor joining them, she decided it would be best to try and
her. Which is why she approached, once they were clear. She hadn’t quite managed a
but she was doing her best not to frown. Until she heard the other woman’s name.
Just as she read every morning after waking, and every night before sleep.
“Fareeha Amari, Ma’am.” In her recovery of her mental facualties, Fareeha had
to her stiff and unsociable manner. “It is a pleasure to have worked with you.”
