Disney- Klance AU Month
@monthlyklance
Lance hummed to himself, scrolling through a list of “The Top 10 Best Summer Vacation Spots!!” and reading the best contenders out to Pidge, Hunk and Keith.
“How do you feel about Paris?” He asked.
Pidge scoffed. “And spend my entire college fund on one night at a hotel?”
Keith just sighed. “I… didn't want to bring it up, but I don't think I can go with you guys.”
Lance raised an eyebrow.
“I kind of have a summer job?”
Lance grinned. “That's so cool!”
Keith shrugged. “It sounds great, and I'm sure I'll like it, but I can't go on this trip thing.”
Lance pondered this for a moment, then gasped, eyes widening. “I’ve got it! Now that you can't go, you won't stop us from going to the perfect place!”
Keith frowned. “Why would I stop you?”
“Because Manly Keith would never go to Disney World!”
Keith paled even more than normal. “Disney World? Like, in Florida? That Disney World?”
“Yeah! It's been years since I went, and I really want to go back!”
Keith shook his head. “No. No way. If you're worried about money, that's the worst place to go.”
“You see what I mean? You're not going anymore, so you don't have a say in the matter,” Lance smirked.
“But--”
“Nope.” He turned to the other two, putting his hand in the middle of their circle. “Disney?”
Hunk and Pidge slammed their hands down. “Disney!”

The day was going even better than they'd hoped. Three different employees had already complimented Lance on his Disney Bounding (“I told you they'd recognize Ariel! She's iconic!”) and many of the lines in Fantasyland, which they'd assumed would be the most packed park, were surprisingly short.
Lance insisted on riding Ariel's Undersea Adventure over and over, and Pidge complained profusely in the line that they couldn't get Lance back by seeing Stitch's Great Escape. They were even dressed for the non-occasion, to “pay tribute to our fallen comrade.” To be fair, they'd let Hunk drag them onto the Winnie the Pooh ride, since it was kind to his stomach unlike many of the other rides.
After the sixth round of “Under the Sea,” even Hunk decided it was time for a break.
“Come on,” he sighed. “I love that movie as much as the next guy, but I wanna do literally anything else.”
Lance flushed. “Please don't kill me, but… could we go meet Ariel?”
Pidge rolled their eyes. “Once.”
Lance squealed. “Let's go!” He grabbed Pidge and Hunk by the arm and started towards Ariel’s Grotto, thankfully rather close to the ride.
Lance stopped in front of the sign and leaned closer to read it. He gasped, turning to the other two. “Hunk!” He screeched, grabbing him by the shoulders. “Guess what?”
“Uh… what?”
“We’re not just meeting Princess Ariel!” He jumped up and down, shaking his head excitedly. “Prince Eric is here today!” He made a nearly inhuman sound. “My little bi heart is quaking! Do you think he'll give me a kiss on the cheek?”
They only had to wait about ten minutes, but Lance was squirming the whole time.
Finally, they made their way into the grotto, Pidge's phone already recording. Lance’s eyes locked onto Ariel’s bright red hair first, and he yelped happily. “Hi!” He gasped, waving.
Ariel smiled brightly. “Hello, dear! It’s so good to meet you!” Her eyes lit up as she recognized his outfit. “Oh, my! We match!”
Lance nodded excitedly and started to walk closer, then turned his head and saw a flash of black hair. He looked up and froze.
Prince Eric stared back at him, but Prince Eric wasn’t just Prince Eric. He was… Keith. Definitely, absolutely Keith. There was no getting around it.
Lance burst into a fit of giggles, covering his mouth with a hand. He tried to speak but couldn’t get it out, just laughing harder.
Keith just stood there, flushed.
Between the two of them, Lance laughing and Keith staring, it was no wonder Ariel spoke up. “Ah… is everything alright, dears?”
Hunk spoke up first, raising a careful finger. “We may… already know Prince Eric.”
She started laughing too, glancing to Keith. “Is that so? Well, Eric, why didn’t you say so?”
Lance managed to pull himself together. “Yeah, Eric, why didn’t you say hi? I thought you liked me!”
Keith shrugged weakly, completely out of character. He cleared his throat. “I… you surprised me.”
Lance shook his head. “I never would have thought--” he snickered-- “that this was why you didn't want us to come.” He pushed his hair back flirtatiously. “Well, I came here to get a kiss from my favorite prince. I'm not backing down now.” His blush rendered the cocky facade useless.
Keith yelped in an undignified way, eyes widening. “Wh-- that's--”
Ariel leaned over to elbow him. “Eric,” she giggled. “Plenty of little princesses ask for a kiss. Why is this any different?”
Keith composed himself, and the change in body language was incredible. “Of course,” he smiled. “You're even dressed like my princess, how could I not give you a kiss?”
Lance muffled another laugh before walking closer. He glanced to Pidge's camera before leaning close to Keith, presenting his cheek.
Keith-- Eric, really-- offered a chaste kiss, a quick brush of his lips. Once he pulled back again, he laughed, embarrassed. “I hope I didn't disappoint you.”
Lance shook his head, touching his cheek. He gave the camera a wave.
Eric bowed, and Lance chuckled.
Finally, the adrenaline wearing off, he gave Ariel a proper hello and a hug. Hunk joined in, murmuring happily about how soft her hair was.
When Lance had gotten all the pictures he wanted, he turned back to Keith. “You know,” he remarked, “I'm starting to think I could ‘be friends’ with a Disney character too.”
Keith considered this, sizing Lance up. “You'd get along well with Prince Naveen,” he smiled.
Lance grinned. “I do love that idea,” he conceded. “But I was hoping I could be your Prince Charming.”
Keith flushed even darker than before, mouth hanging open. “I-- uh--”
Lance winked, blushing, then leaned in and gave Keith a peck on the cheek. While Keith was still trying to form words, he turned to Pidge and Hunk and dragged them from the room.
Once they'd made it out into the sunny Florida day, Hunk burst into happy blubbering. “Lance!” He gasped. “You-- you asked him out! You really did!”
Lance laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Do you think he'll take it the wrong way?”
Only a few minutes later, Lance's phone pinged.
He opened the notification and squeaked. “This is--” he glanced over at Pidge. “It's a request to audition for Naveen!” He clapped a hand over his mouth, eyes shining. “In two weeks, I could become a prince!”
Pidge gaped. “He meant it?”
Lance nodded excitedly. “This. Is. Incredible!”
His phone went off again, and he scrambled to open the text from ‘Keef ❤’.
Here's hoping for a fairytale ending.
