I want to share OCs infos but don’t want to make a single post for each one, so enjoy this compilation
• Unlike Quibris who has a lot of vocabulary, is quite eloquent and just talks in a formal way in general, Cedra has actually a rather casual way of talking. Since his four ears pick up important events, he learned how people on Futh actually speak; so sometimes formally, sometimes casually. And he tends to do the latter, because for him talking should be about going straight to the point.
• Each Fruitbug has actually some kind of ‘room’ which fit their personality and theme- the players can see it, since they serve as a background for dialogue scenes. I’ll try to draw them someday.
• My two sonas, Cycloplasm and Ocularose, are slightly different:
Ocularose: wants to be a villain, but is too shy to do so; also has a cardboard shrine dedicated to (favorite character of all time), and lives literally under a rock; he dug a small burrow and lives there. He’s very shy and likes to pretend to be mean, but doesn’t actually do bad stuff.
Cycloplasm: considers himself a villain, but can’t do anything. His tentacles don’t sting at all, but he pretends they do to sound evil. Also cycloplasm is more secretive about his love for (favorite character of all time); except in AUs where he’s a video game boss, and you have to destroy his (favorite character of all time) artefacts to make him cry/expose his weak point. In this AU, he has a robot he drives to move around, and lives in a giant mansion underwater- he got it from asking for money to ‘save the seas and make them better’. The better part was actually building his mansion
• Neo incubus is aware of the fact that his apparence might not attract all the sinners who act on their harmful lustful impulses; so in those cases, he can use his emergency trap. His doll body is hollow, and it contains different types of pheromones he... extracted- that he uses in last resort with sinners he KNOWS have commited crimes.
• Chestnut, in his ‘human’ form, as mentionned in his post, can produce DS sounfont instrument noises. But in his true form, the songs gets distorted, and anyone who listen to them with headphones will probably get a headache.
• Fruitbugs can bleed; their blood is basically juice of the fruit they’re based on; similarly while they don’t have organs, their insides is the inside of, again, the fruit they’re based on. As a result, the ones based on nuts (so far only chestnut) are actually bloodless, and hollow except for their torso and head, who contains chesnut seeds. They have something similar to bones, but are actually... insects! They have the same placement as human bones, vary in size depending on the original bone, and their species depend on the Fruitbug’s; example, since Cherry is a centipede, so his ‘bones’ are centipedes as well. Don’t worry about them wriggling inside the Fruitbug’s body; inside they’re in a dormant state. They only wake up if exposed to the outside; example if a cut is deep enough to reach the bug, or if a part if the limb containing the bug is sliced.
Oh boy!! I have some suggestions~ Neo Incubus - Mint Choc Chip; Quibris - Bubblegum; Sun - Dark Cherry; Cedra - Neopolitan; Blackberry - French Vanilla; Chestnut - Citrus Punch; Strawberry - Pomgranate Sorbet; 💖
he cri choco tears :’(
they cri life giving tears :’( every1 cri
i COMPLETELY forgot to give Sun nails in his ref pic... i need to fix that lol.
canon fact but ever since Cedra got in the mantle, he likes to take magma baths. He either does that or sits on his throne and watches over his creations like a teacher watching kindergartners during recess. there’s not much difference between a kindergartner and a lifeform Cedra made in the sense that in both there’s no maturity to be found and Cedra wants to yell at all of them
earwig tongue super kawaii
Chestnut used ZUNPET ATTACK! (lasers come out of the trumpets)
Strawberry talks with Mister Ant; my most original and anatomically inaccurate character
NEW futh post. long? LONG. i suggest seeing the part 1 and Cedra+Quibris posts first
Quibris (left) and Cedra (right) hd ref pictures; the two of them + context shown in there. Longest thing i ever wrote under the cut.
The two of them can change size at will; but depending of how consequent the change is, they need time before being able to change size again. They used to be bigger than Futh itself, but changed to 4 meters so they can roam on their own planet. (according to conversion, 4 meters is 13″12 in feet; feel free to correct me if that’s wrong :O!)
Quibris (they/them) is a God of Life; they created all lifeforms on Futh; all plants, animals, and people there were initially created by them; from the primordial soup where they progressively learned how to make lifeforms that can survive, to Futh’s current state. If they look like they’re looking in the distance, it’s because their eye allows them to see in real time important events happening on Futh; so that they can watch over their creations. They only see events that will affect the majority of the planet, like the creation of a new society, a technological breakthrough, and such things that can be considered as historical. People on Futh used to be aware of them and worshiped Quibris; but over the centuries, people forgot about them… That made them doubt themself, somewhat depressed and bitter towards the people of Futh. Quibris takes their job relatively seriously, and doesn’t focus on anything else other than Futh and its people. They like seeing their creations evolve; and does so even when they’re bitter over not being worshipped. They love Cedra, even if their way of doing and seeing things are different.
Cedra (was born genderless, but identifies as a male; so he/him) is the God of death of Futh, and was the one to keep balance; by reducing the numbers of invasive species to allow the weaker ones to survive, or even decimate an entire race if Quibris felt like they weren’t meant to stay on their planet (thankfully, the latter one happened rarely and only on the beginning of life on Futh, around the time lifeforms started developing after the primordial soup/when Quibris was learning how to make lifeforms). Cedra doesn’t actually LIKE destroying lifeforms; he does it only out of duty and as favors for Quibris. But it’s not like he particularly cares about them either; for him, life on Futh are like ants in a ant farm. One thing he DOES enjoy is destroying the landscape; such as breaking mountains, creating earthquakes and tornadoes, making an entire forest rot and watching it die, and such other destructive things. His four ears allows him to hear in instant time important things that is being said on Futh; like Quibris’ sight, it’s only things that could be considered historical, such as the start or end of a big war, a new kind of society being born, and other such events. If he hears something important that isn’t in a language he knows, the second pair of Cedra’s ears allow him to understand what’s being said, by at least understanding what’s being communicated (example: someone decides to yell that they’re starting a war and says it in a language that isn’t too spread on the planet; Cedra will hear it; he won’t understand exactly what’s being said, but his second pair of ears will get the fact that it’s something bad, and that the words used are full of animosity.) As for his personality, Cedra is VERY obnoxious and, while he does his duty, focuses on having fun more than anything else. His concept of ‘fun’ can be related to his death powers, but also making fun of mortals CONSTANTLY. He finds them to be ‘hilarious’, and can’t help but enjoy watching . His favorite thing is when people starts cults, especially if it’s in honor; he WILL mess with them. But the only thing he never makes fun of is Quibris; he loves them very much and even admires them (but he rarely admits the latter).
One day, Quibris told Cedra that they were upset about not being worshipped, and that they wish they could something. Cedra at first suggested that they create new lifeforms that could be loyal to their belief in them; they did so, but that wasn’t enough for them. Quibris was mad that they spent milleniums creating life on Futh, only to have those people forget them. So Cedra asked ‘what would like to do, then?’ Quibris wasn’t sure how to respond with anything other that ‘ I wish to teach them a lesson. But I wish to do so myself, so they dare not to forget me again.’ Cedra, who puts Quibris’ well being before anything, and has always been admirative of what they could create, replied; ‘Then do so! Destroy them! Become their god of death! After all, i got myself more cults than i can count without asking for anything; people don’t forget what they FEAR. So make them FEAR you. In the meantime, I can try to create things for a change! Wouldn’t that be fun?’ And Quibris agreed to that. They traded jobs by, at first, teaching each other. Quibris showed Cedra how they create things, and Cedra showing how to destroy to Quibris in return. Thing is, both only watched; they didn’t really learn the intricacies of each act. For example, Cedra used his power of death/destruction to get some ‘materials’ (various minerals, or even in some cases dead matter (so basically rotten stuff) and made lifeforms out of it; but he has little to no concept of ‘internal organs’, of anatomy/functional bodyparts, and isn’t very good at crafting. So Cedra’s lifeforms tend to look like a scary toddler’s clay sculpture, with lots of eyes/mouths/limbs (or even none of those at all). And since Quibris can’t technically destroy anything directly, they instead created grey lifeforms that are similar in consistency to clay and has no mind of it’s own; they just kind of shaped it (like shaping clay) into weapon-looking shapes, and fused it to the aggressive creations they made with Cedra. The result is a creature who does massive damage wherever they are; but Quibris and those lifeforms doesn’t have the notion of what NEEDS to be destroyed, and what doesn’t. So they tend to do a LOT of damage on the people and even Futh itself.
This period of time left a consequential stain on Futh’s history; Cedra’s creations were roaming around, destroying things seemingly out of instinct, and even making hybrids with some of Futh people. While Quibris’ newest creations would leave little to no survivors, and do as much destruction as Cedra’s lifeforms, if not more. The two gods saw pretty quickly that their trade didn’t go as planned; no one worshiped or even acknowledged Quibris; all they saw were the strange, new lifeforms destroying everything in their path. While Cedra’s creations weren’t as good as he wanted them to be, and no matter how much of them he made and how much he desperately wanted to be as good as Quibris, Cedra felt awful having his failed attempts at creating life destroying Quibris’ own, ‘perfect’ (in Cedra’s point of view) creations. So Cedra decided to take his creations away from the people of Futh, and guided them to the center of the planet, where only he can go in and out of. Unfortunately, Cedra felt that he needed to seal them away AND stay with them while doing so; he felt like they were his responsibility and that he couldn’t stay with Quibris after being such a failure as a god of life. That’s when he went from being bigger than Futh itself to a 4 meters form, and left Quibris alone. The latter was already very upset over the chaos that happened with their poor attempt at revenge/getting worshiped again, but the fact that Cedra left just destroyed them; not literally, but on an emotional level. The two were always there for each other, so Quibris felt more lonely than ever. They retrieved their lifeforms of destruction, and sealed them in a place only Quibris themself can access. Feeling like there wasn’t even a point to carry on being either a god of life or death; so they changed their size to 4 meters like Cedra, and makes sure their latest creations don’t escape.
Quibris’ and Cedra’s trade lasted for a few years; but for the people of Futh, it felt pretty much like the apocalypse. And afterwards, since neither god were protecting Futh from dangers, one of the three moons, Sekut, got pulverized by an asteroid; so that was kind of like the cherry on top of the apocalypse cake. At least Cedra’s creations and Quibris’ new ones being away, the people could spend time rebuilding their world and families little by little. By what counts as ‘nowadays’ to Futh, only old people remember how the world was like when the two gods watched over it, and how the year of the trade went. Those people tend to keep telling the new generations about ‘how different and good life was when the gods were there’, so that the memory of the Futh with gods goes on.
which one of your OCs would you say is your favorite? :0
OH BOY SONNY JIM YOU’RE IN FOR A RIDE
Ok first off: i actually was thinking of that yesterday? So can PLEASE tell your illuminati spies to get off my property? Or I’ll have to wear my tinfoil hat to ward them off.
anyway short answer: i don’t really have any!
Long answer. VERY long answer.
I tend to have ‘Moods’ when it comes to characters in general, and my OCs are not exception. Those Moods can last a few hours as they can last months (and even years for that one character)- it’s VERY random and i can do very little to control them- i won’t have any motivation to draw anything that doesn’t relate to the Mood. If anything, noticed how i rarely redraw my OCs? You can thank the Moods for that! I VERY often have Moods about a character i haven’t posted yet- so i do their ref picture. But as soon as i finish it, i tend to get sastified and/or another mood. VERY annoying, as you can guess. There’s so much of my Ocs i’d like to redraw, but gotta obey the moods to enjoy what i do.
And those Moods actually influences who my favorite is- i just can’t decide, because those change my way of thinking. And, when i do OCs, i don’t post them until i’m at LEAST 90% satisfied with their design/concept/personality, unless stated otherwise. So as a result, i tend to love them all equally, even during Moods.
But that being said… I’ll try to pin point the ones that are especially meaningful to me.
Cherry and Olive.
I posted those two only once- but oh boy. Those two really mean a lot to me. As said in the post, i’ve had them since 2015- making them the 2nd oldest OCs i posted (the 1rst being Cycloplasm- 2013!!) And uuuh.. Let’s just say that 2015 wasn’t really a happy year for me, when it began? I kinda lost interest in everything- until i got the dream i talked about in the post. As SOON as Cherry appeared, i just… KNEW! He was going to be an Oc i was REALLY going to enjoy. Even when i couldn’t figure out his design, i had that feeling lol. And boy was i right! Cherry is still to this day an OC i really enjoy ‘writing’ (i don’t write but idk how else to express it). And Olive was made soon after Cherry had a design i was satisfied with- at this point, there wasn’t the concept of fruitbugs yet, so initially.. Olive was going to Cherry’s rival. And it’s pretty funny to me, how he started out as a rival to one of my most extroverted OCs, to what he is today- a boy who can’t express anything besides sadness and self-loathing over being unused. So in 2015, i had those two OCs (and actually another one that i still haven’t drawn digitally to this day- dem karakter skillz rite) keeping me happy for a good while! It was really enjoyable. I’ve drawn them a lot in 2015, and i hope one day i’ll have the time to draw their ‘friend’ and to draw all three of them together again!
Quibris and Cedra.
Kind of makes sense to have them here! Those two aren’t the in-universe creators of my world, Futh, for nothing, lol. I created them ‘recently’, 2017, even though Futh has been on my mind since 2013. But hhhgg i have so much stuff about them i still haven’t shared/don’t know how to explain yet!! And i love making them interact too- i have yet to find a satisfying way to represent it visually, but it’s just. Very genuine and they don’t agree on everything, but in the end they deeply love each other platonically. I haven’t mentioned it, but when they were bigger than the planet itself, it was sometimes possible to see their hand holding throught the sky/atmosphere, and seeing that was a sign of great luck and success. I just love them so much, idk how to even explain lol…
All my other OCs i love ver much as well- but i picked those 4 to answer to your question. I hope this text wall answers your question, lol!
have to write some oc things bc 1) idk if i ever mentioned those details and 2) im RLY scared of forgetting them? I feel like i have forgotten so much already.
- Sun’s voice is... Absolutely horrible, if one were to hear it on a planet with atmosphere. In space, he has a loud, booming, but monotone voice. And it’s fine to listen to. But on planets with atmosphere, it’s essentially the hearing equivalent of staring into the sun. You hear what he says- but only vaguely, because the pain it brings you to listen is unbearable; and with long enough exposure, can damage your hearing greatly. To describe it i’d say that your can hear what he says along with an extremely loud, high pitched and otherwordly scream. Good thing Sun only stays in space and no one got their hearing damaged because of him.
- Quibris and Cedra are the gods of life and death of Futh, and have watched over the planet for milleniums. But only a few milleniums- they’re relatively ‘young’ by their species’ standards. Yes, species as there’s others like those two, that watch over other planets. They tend to be completely different from one another, simply with gods of life tending to have certain parts of their bodies composed of light, and gods of death to have bioluminescent lights that pulse as they use their power (in Cedra’s case it’s the red and yellow stripes! They move like comb jellyfish lights). Quibris and Cedra’s ‘closest’ neighbours (a few solar systems away from them) are two annoying guys who watch over a flat planet. They’re newbies and ‘only’ at an early stage of life on their planet, but they tend to think they’re better than Quibris and Cedra. As for what creates gods of life and death... Well it doesn’t have a name, and isn’t *really* a character- because that would imply that it thinks. It doesn’t. It creates. That’s all it can do. It creates gods of life and death, and repeats the process ad-infinitum. Said process takes milleniums. As for what it looks like... imagine a ball of (somewhat human but not entirely- for example it has 6 fingers) arms- with rainbow veins. And at each fingertip, there’s another, smaller arm. Repeat the process until you get an incomprehensible entity, whose initial arms are as big as a galaxy, and the almost infinite amount of fingers makes it even more incomprehensibly big. In general Quibris and Cedra don’t like talking about it- not only because there’s nothing to say, but it’s also kind of like talking about the time when you were in the womb. You don’t remember any of it. And maybe that’s for the better, because if your senses were fully developped at that time, the experience might have been... Strange, to say the least.
- Quibris and Cedra can choose to be seen or heard by people on Futh- to be seen they just have to lean closer into the atmosphere, and to be heard, they just have to speak on top of their ‘lungs’ (they don’t have any). To be seen is vaguely annoying, because since Futh is round, not everyone sees the one that wants to be seen- and it tends to be beyond terrifying to most Futh people, even ones devoted to Quibris and/or Cedra’s religions. After all they ARE bigger than the planet, and let’s be real here, if you saw anyone’s face in the sky- even if you knew it could happen- you’d be terrified. I would. And to be heard is even more annoying- because actually the whole planet hears it. So sometimes if there’s a war starting in a country, Quibris will say ‘STOP.’. People in said country will probably understand and obey the godly command, but everyone is terrified and vaguely confused. Stop what?? Walking? Feeding my child?! It’s not uncommon to have individuals freak out at Quibris or Cedra’s godly commands. One unfortunate incident in the early days of civilization on Futh was Quibris, only to have Cedra say ‘maybe don’t do that- oh wait’, not realizing he spoke loud enough for the whole planet to hear. It massively screwed up the emerging religion, who was initially accurate- with Quibris creating life and Cedra destroying it; but this changed into making Cedra the ‘maybe don’t do that’ entity, who would be virtually useless outside of giving advice to Quibris. It was fixed a few decades later, with Cedra not being amused anymore by the misconception, and creating canyons around every civilization to make them understand that he wasn’t to be messed with. By the way, Cedra generally destroys using the very tip of his claws. He has to, otherwise there’s the risk of damaging Futh itself. Damage as in ‘break a tectonic plate’ type of bad. And final notes are that i don’t have voice claims for either of them, but Quibris has an androgynous, echoing soft voice that... directly speaks into your mind, because they have no mouth. Cedra has a somewhat gravely, snarky male voice. He doesn’t actually have any vocal cords (and neither does Quibris), and he moves his mouth when talking because he feels that facial expression(s) is just as important as words are.
- I mentioned this but only in the tags if an unrelated picture- but Monas is pretty young by Futh god standards- at only 200 years old. He lived in the industrial era as nurse merman. He chose himself his god name- Monas, because of his belief that, as the god of pain, he’s the most important god (outside of Quibris/Cedra of course). He has a strange complex- he has this belief, all the while being very selfless out of the goodness of his heart. That’s because he is TOLD by those he saves, especially from death, that he’s the most important god- so he believes it, and it annoyingly inflates his ego while making him even more genuinely devoted/selfless and willing to save people. It’s a paradox i have trouble explaining ngl- but even Monas in-universe is vaguely aware of that. And doesn’t do anything about it- he’s too busy feeling guilty over all the people he doesn’t save, out of fear they’re bad people that don’t and won’t change.
- Fruitbugs sort of have ‘nationalities’, but it’s all... Very complicated. Not only because our world in THEIR universe is fictional, but also because... It’s just usually weird! The best examples i can think of on top of my head is Olive- who has literally white skin, but is actually from the south-east of France, and would have dark skin if he had realistic skin. and Lemon, who’s also has a south french parent as well as an american one- but keep in mind said parents don’t actually exist, because video game characters don’t get born. So Lemon is both south french and american, and lives in the fruitbug equivalent of america (i think i’ll go the stupid verlan way and just call it Ricamer (if you dont know what verlan is dont. Look. It up. It’s the stupidest thing ever and i use it daily while speaking french). As for what state he’s in... No idea. I’ve been to like 4 states and none fits Lemon’s level design. It’s like a city but oddly 50s or even 20s looking everywhere, except for two modern skyscrapers facing each other- one is small but mostly an underground sewer (Lemon’s) and the other is a very tall skyscraper that have windows that look spider-webish (Grape Coco’s).
is Cedra and Quibris able to fuse as a whole entity? like for example they make peace between each other and their "love" grow so strong they fuse together? if it happened what consequence will show and how it might look? would be good? bad? or balanced between the 2 of them? :0
They can’t fuse- gods of life and gods of death can’t do that-their individual roles are too important. BUT! There’s a pretty big religion on Futh that believes they can, and want them to fuse to ‘make an unique being, and bring balance and harmony’. I want to call the religion Monad (because the philosophy of the Monas/Monad is the belief that there is one god that it is ‘all’); but that’s the same name as the parasitic creatures i mentioned in my previous ask.. so the parasitic creatures will change their name to avoid confusion later lol (my amateurism intensifies)
