Cullen: Are you well, Inquisitor?
Inquisitor: A headache. It’s been driving me mad all day.
Cullen: If I may? *Inquisitor nods* *Cullen begins to massage her temples with his fingers*
Cullen: I’ve found this helps when I suffer one.
Inquisitor: Mmmm...
Cullen: Is there anything else I can do to help?
Inquisitor(to herself): Maybe if you took your shirt off.
Cullen:...
Inquisitor: I did not just say that out loud.

When Lindsay and Rawel got divorced, it was because they realised they were never in love in the first place. They sure were the best of friends, and sex felt amazing, but it wasn't love. They could talk for hours, but it wasn't love. Everyone gasped at the announcement: what, this perfect couple is getting a divorce? What a world we live in!
They stayed friends. They even stayed housemate. Easier for the custody of their daughter, less pricy, and movie nights were still such a delight they could cancel anything just to maintain their habit.
And then, Lindsay moved out, she got hired in another city, in another hospital, she couldn't stay at their home. Their daughter was old enough to make a choice, and she decided school would be with mum, vacations would be with dad. Rawel was a teacher, he agreed it was the sensible thing to do. Lindsay and he called each other every other night to enjoy the other's company for a bit. It had been maybe the most peaceful divorce in all human history, perhaps due to their phlegmatic nature and natural accommoding tendencies.
And that was it. They went on with life, being a happy family in their own way. They even went on vacation to the beach or the countryside together. They were not meant to be. Rawel and Lindsay understood it. They went with the flow. They achieved bliss this way, by not giving a damn about what should be a family.
One day, Lindsay met someone. And one day, Rawel did too.
They knew it was love. True love.
Lindsay acted on it with her peculiar ways, gifting dinosaur toys to a very confused coworker.
Rawel fell in love with Junjie and that's all. A fortuitous encounter, a nice young man, a meaningful conversation, a kiss by the bus stop. That's all.
He sensed he would fight for happiness the second their lips touched.
For the first time, he understood what love meant.
