Sharing this excerpt then I’m going to bed, I swear. 

Lysistrata, chosen of Battles, courtesan to the military elite of the South, is nursing a certain injured Solar cowboy. Because… plot. They’re friends-with-benefits most of the time.

It might be the hour, but this last line struck me as funny, so I inflict it on you all.

Lysistrata has tricks upon tricks, and one of those is a way to have a full bath on campaign - the Veils weren’t any good without ways to pamper those they deigned to entertain. She was never going to get Caleb in a tub on her own - but a sponge from the Azure reefs and a basin of cool water would be just as good - for him. 

Well, she amended, glancing at the awkwardly posed “statue” to one side of the tent - if she got into Monsoon Sunrise she’d be able to lift him. But donning priceless star-metal power armor just to give a gunslinger a bath seemed a little extravagant, even for her.
