these two shows confused the hell out of me when I was a kid.

RINHARU WEEK (DAY TWO) - Pirates/Mermaid (AU)

Rin and Haru are both captains of their own crew. They meet in a bar, and his personalities immediately collide. Samezuka crew is well known by being dangerous, even cruel sometimes (though deep inside they’re not) while Iwatobi crew... they are basically invisible. So pacific they almost mix with the calm ocean. For a crew so “poor” as that (as Rin says), the captain has such an arrogant look, and Rin seems to hate it. But, that’s not true. In front the eyes of the people (except perceptive people like Makoto or Sousuke) both captains are enemies... however, once again, it’s a lie. Secretly, the chemistry among they two went to another direction and began being lovers. A name for their relationship? There wasn’t, there wasn’t any word, just sights. Red and blue, the blue that Rin seemed to dislike so much but inside he needed it. 

Finally, without being able to say a word to Haru, or how special he is to Rin... Rin loses Haru, in a storm. He becomes not just a pathetic captain, but a pathetic man; a pathetic human being. His crew is worried about his captain, even Iwatobi crew does. They’re worried because of a sort of obsession Rin seems to have months later, by going to a specific island... where (they don’t know) he’s able to see Haru... or, somehow. He meets a strange criature that looks like him.

“Maybe... the fish who ate you when you fell off the boat?”

“Maybe you became this, for being in the ocean just as you wanted...”

“Maybe, maybe you...ugh.”

But “Haru” doesn’t seem to understand a word Rin says. If only there was a way to make him know how important he was, at least one thing...

If only...

Maybe there is.
