It only takes less than 45 minutes to make this quick lasagna recipe, and it tastes just like a real lasagna. Great for busy weeknights or whenever you want some comforting Italian food!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 24 oz marinara sauce. 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes, drained. 1 teaspoon dried basil. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 lasagna noodles, uncooked. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Put ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet. Cook over medium-low heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Get rid of extra fat. Diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper should all be added at this point. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Pour a little meat sauce into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place 4 lasagna noodles that aren't cooked on top of the sauce. Cover the noodles with half of the ricotta cheese. Then, top them with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese. Add more layers with the rest of the ingredients, ending with a sauce layer. Wrap the baking dish in foil and bake it in a hot oven for 25 minutes. Take the foil off and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Take a few minutes to let the lasagna cool down before you serve it. If you want, you can add fresh basil leaves as a garnish.
