The two of you met on your school campus while both running slightly late to class. He very nearly crashed into you, but stopped just in time to avoid a collision. He walked you to your class, remaining respectful, as something of an apology for nearly smashing into you. His mind works faster than normal people’s so in the span of those few minutes he was completely smitten. Once you were in your class, he sped off for his own, already plotting how to talk to you again.

After a few days, he found you on campus again and asked you out. Politely. You accepted, and had a better time than you anticipated. He took you around town and treated you to dinner while you got to know each other better, laughing more than either of you have in ages.

From there you started seeing each other more often—sometimes on dates, sometimes just hanging out at school. Pietro flirted a lot, and it was easy to tell he was completely in love with you.

He loves listening to you talk about Egypt and cats, and shares your protective instinct. The first time he kissed you was after you’d been at an acting rehearsal for several hours. He’d come along to watch—and do homework, but he finished that in fifteen minutes—and the whole time, he just sat there and smiled at you.

Meeting Pietro was, well, technically it counted as a train wreck.

You were studying in Seoul, South Korea during Ultron’s theft of Dr. Cho’s cradle. You weren’t on the train when his sister stopped it, but you were on the street. He’d scooped you up and taken you to safety faster than you could even blink.

And for a while, that was that.

It wasn’t ‘til another couple years later that the two of you met again, this time back home. He recognized you instantly even though you didn’t remember his face since the train incident was so fast you still weren’t sure you weren’t scooped up by a stray tornado. He smirked when he saw you on the street and zipped over to you.

He was respectful but flirty, and you found yourself enjoying being around him. So when he asked for your number, you gave it to him. He called a couple days later and asked you out, and you said yes.
