Spontaneous writing with #quill & #sumi⁣ Calf vellum scrap from a H. Band and Co. sample pack purchased in the 1980s. Band & Co went under shortly thereafter. Wm. Cowley's is the last British manufacturer left. ⁣(post 2 of 2, horizontal format) ⁣ I've been wanting to get some quill written marks on vellum for a long while... This with three different quills, sumi and powdered pigments with gum arabic. One last preview page from the impending comic. When I got into the inking/colouring, things got a bit out of hand - clearly - but I'm nearly done. (FYI it's not all full-colour, otherwise it would take me the rest of my life.)
