March Fanart: Inspired by Text (not lyrics)
She had the unmistakable look of a spacefarer, covered in tattoos of our night sky so aliens could send her home if death finally found her.
Inspired by the “microfiction” of @quietpinetrees
So I was inspired by @quietpinetrees, and had a go at their style of microfiction:
In fact rocks merely live more slowly than other life. Crystal trees grew in forgotten caves, and igneous birds roosted in their branches.
The metamorphic preyed on the sedimentary. Gravel skin was no match for pressure-hardened teeth and claws forged in magma.
Species existed even in stone. Sandstone foxes froze in tundras, and granite wolves dared not step out of the forest.
The greatest predator was water. It would split the mightiest obsidian bear in twain, and devour entire forests in mere millennia.
Some chose to wear the bones of flesh creatures. They turned calcium to stone, and stalked the halls as abominations.
I am really enjoying Quiet Pine Trees, though I’m less optimistic about October...
The Mayan's predicted Apocalypse wasn't wrong, it just happened for a world too small for us to see.
another illustration for @quietpinetrees microfiction, text from this tweet. it was fun to play with trying to make a galaxy pattern with watercolor.
Text from this tweet by @quietpinetrees, I’ll probably be illustrating more of them in the next few days if I have time.
