Brother Sister Moment (Quil Attera)
It was about to be (Y/N)’s third year in high school, yet every time it came to the first day of school she always got apprehensive. She has no explanation as to why she was nervous, after all she was going to see the same people from last year. This time school year would be different from last years though. It would be her first year of high school without her brother, Quil. That thought alone kept her up at night. It was an hour past twelve already and (Y/N) had finally accepted that she wasn't going to bed anytime soon. Lieing in bed was starting to bore her, so she decided to head down to her living room and watch T.V.
(Y/N) covered herself in her favorite warm blanket, and silently made her way past her family members rooms. She made herself comfy on her couch and turned on her run-down television. (Y/N) sat in the same position on the couch, for about 15 minutes; when she heard the front door click open. Quickly she clicked off the T.V. and hid under her cover, knowing that Quil would most likely see her anyway. He always came home at this time.
“(Y/N)?” Quil whispered. “What are you doing up this late?”
(Y/N) pushed her blanket from her face and sighed. “I cant sleep.”
Quil smiled at his little sister, he knew that tomorrow/ today would be her first day of highschool without him. She was always nervous to do things without him, (well with an exception to making friends and secretly going on dates.) He laughed remembering the time their mother bought her two tickets to her favorite rock band. Everyone in their house thought she would choose one of her close friends, assuming that she would love to share this experience with people who had similar taste in music as her. Instead she insisted that Quil would tag along. “Really? Out of all of your friends, you chose Quil?” their mother asked.
(Y/N) simply answered with, “Hey, Quil is my friend too!”
Quil threw himself on the couch next to his sister and grabbed the remote from her hand. “School huh?” (Y/N) nodded and leaned on Quil’s shoulder, “Don't worry kid, it’ll be alright.” Quil assured her, but she only hummed in response. Not much was said after that, both of them were clearly too exhausted to talk. Quil enjoyed these moments with (Y/N), he was always far too busy with his wolf responsibilities to spend quality time with her, like he used to.
After an hour an hour of watching T.V. Quil finally noticed that (Y/N) had fallen asleep. She had done so a long time ago, but he was really interested in a whale documentary to even notice. He looked down at (Y/N)’s messy (h/l), (h/c) hair, and admired how innocent she always looked; he knew damn well that she wasn't always though. He pushed his warm hand over her face and pushed her hair out of her eyes, before picking her up to take her to her room. Before he shifted, he would have been struggling to carry her; most likely saying something along the lines of, “Jesus, are you eating rocks for dinner, or what?” Quil chuckled once he lied her on her small soft bed, “So much for ‘cant sleep.’”
