Ooooh, it's a tough question - I'm really growing to love saturdays! Edgar the cat has started to crawl under the covers with me at night, and in the morning, he comes and asks for cuddles. And for me to open the curtains because he likes to sit on the windowsill for some sun. It's pretty hard for any day to start wrong when you have a little purring machine reminding you that you are loved.

I got a little carried away, but the reason I love saturdays is I get to put everything that I left out during the week, clean up my space and then take the time to do what I didn't have time for during the week. It's a nice little respite AND I don't have work the next day, so I get to stay up as late as I want!!

My town is creeping into autumn, and the trees are beautiful! I drove to my parents house this morning, and was reminded how beautiful it is where I live. There's a gorgeous orange tree right by the street the house is on, and it's breathtaking everything. It's enhanced by the warm fall sun, and my cat was laying on the dashboard, admiring it all. All in all, a lovely drive!

✍️ "when did you get started writing?"

Pretty sure I started storytelling as soon as I could. Apparently, when I was a child, I didn't talk much, I often gestured or I did things myself (scared my parents a few time with that). When I did talk, I made up stories about the trees, and fairies, and the troll that lives in the mountain.

Writing more specifically though, I've been doing it for the better part of my life, I have short stories from when I was 8! I started with stories, than fanfic, than songs, than screenwriting, and now I'm back to stories and fanfic!

📜"how did you get started on your WIPs?"

Well, I have a little difficulty working on multiple stories in the same genre simultaneously. As of right now, I have only two WIPs. One is The Woman and The Horse, my "Aragorn finds a more horse-obsessed person than him" fic. Really, I just felt like Aragorn needed a friend who understood his love for horses before the events of LOTR, and I kinda wanted to make a cool cowboy-adjacent character (at least I find her cool, but the horse keeps stealing the show). Write what you wanna read right? 🐎

⁉️"what do you do when stuck on a scene?"

If I am struggling with dialogue, I like to work on my character sheet. I go back to their motives, their goals, and their core values - I find this helps me center on their identity and their voice better.

If it's the plot, then I step back from the story. I go do something else, I work on the headers and moodboards, and I've found it helps me remember the why of the story. What's the heart? Why these characters? Why this context? It's easier to find the path when I know what I am looking for.

😭 what are the biggest challenges writing your WIPS?

Right now, I'd have to say finding the time. I have a few things on my to-do list, and it's keeping me away from WIPs a little. But, I get to do a bunch of super fun stuff! I just wrote the backstory for my dnd character, and I loved doing that. I also organized a dinner and egg hunt with my friends to celebrate Easter with them.

Other challenges have to be actually writing the damn thing, instead of making cute headers and dividers, and moodboards

📖 what has surprised you about your WIPs?

Honestly, how useful it is to work through my own stuff 🙃 sometimes it's evident, I start writing and immediately recognize the situation. Sometimes it's only after I've posted and am reading through.

omg omg omg omg omg yes thank you for asking I have ten thousand of these - now the question, which one do I talk about??

I think Arwen and Frodo would be great friends. They both give me the "fiery hot kindness" vibe, and I can just easily imagine people think they have soft tea parties when really they've got the longest prank streak and people continue to accuse Merry and Pippin. Merry and Pippin in turn have a secret club to catch them, and it always backfires. Very "Bugs Bunny vs the Hunter" vibes.

🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Once upon a time, I wrote a heist short movie. I was afraid my search history would get me in trouble 🙃 but the weirdest lately? "How to cook lupine seeds"

🦴 ⇢ is there a piece of media that inspires your writing?

A lot! I will say though, I started writing stories after reading the Zarya series by JP Goyette when I was young. I even sent my first manuscript to the author (with my mom's email, I must have been 11 or 12) and he encouraged me to keep writing. Then I started writing scripts more in high school, after seeing the first Iron Man. I think those two things are truly what made me want to write more in the first place, but I think I find a little inspiration anytime I read something that makes my heart sing.
