You should give an opinion on this
Okay so I've been speculating on everyone's sexuality lately and I feel like a moderately bad person every time so let's discuss.
Evidently if they don't want to share their sexuality with you, that is their choice, but practically speaking this is not a conversation you have with many people out of the whole number you know. You don't want to ask for fear of putting someone in an awkward position. So you don't really know if they are specifically 0, 6, or any real number between these, and you don't know how big a deal that is to them, and you don't know how open they are about it.
If you have no sexual interest in the person, why is it still so interesting to know this information. Why do we want to know this about everyone.
Fortunately everyone who's asked me about my sexuality has been satisfied with my nebulous answer, which is: I like dicks but Natalie Dormer exists. But if I had to label myself, I don't know what I'd want that label to be. I imagine other people feel similarly sometimes.
It doesn't bother me when people speculate on my sexuality. My appearance is reasonably 'technically-minded lesbian,' and my sister is mistaken for my girlfriend on a monthly basis. That does upset me, because she is underage and quite apart from her being my sister, I don't want strangers to think I would date underage people. But apart from that, whatever! If someone doesn't like me because they think I'm gay, that's one less asshole I have to filter out of my life. If I want a man who thinks I'm gay he'll be corrected.
How do you feel? Does it bother you to be asked about your sexuality? Would it bother you to know people were speculating on it? How would you feel if they got it wrong?
I don't take anons, but if you want to discuss privately, just say so and I won't publish the thing.
