I was away for a while because I was studying for tests and I don't have time to draw… BUT NOW I HAVE >:] (just a bit… I have tests every week but that doesn't stop me, I just wanted to concentrate more this time, my ADHD won't leave me alone XD)

I'm also coming up with more ideas and I'm going to reblog some of the things that people taggad me! wait for me! XD

Well… here's a piece of art I was working on for my school the other day, the book Quincas Borba from my literature class

I honestly didn't like the final result very much because the colors were a bit confused… I'm working on it! I'm planning to start designing book covers because it's fun lol

Rubião imagining his wedding in Quincas Borba is really giving. Comphet.

Does not even occur to him until major Siqueira suggests it

Mostly pleased by the idea as a way to escape more inconvenient feelings (his love for Sofia and the gap Quincas Borba Human left in his life)

Spends most of the imagined wedding talking to a variety of prestigious men

Imagines the bride only by possible title, not taking an interest in any other aspect of her other than vaguely wishing to "marry well"

When he does try to imagine his bride's face, it's either random women he has no attachment to, or Sofia, who is Unachievable™ as far as he knows

Directly states that his future bride will take the place Quincas Borba Human in the household, both for Quincas Borba Dog and himself

This is strengthened by

The fact Sofia is the one woman he's demonstrated any real interest in so far, and he met her at the exact same as her husband, making her, as previously mentioned, Unachievable™ the entire time

My conviction that he was in love with Quincas Borba Human

I don't think his love and attraction for Sofia is fake by any means, but I do think the reason he has allowed himself those feelings and the reason they're so intense is because he knows he can't be with her, which is... Indicative, at the very least, even if his relationships with men weren't, which they are.

Anyway I'm only nearing the halfway point in the book, so updates to come ig
