Can we talk about my love for cows for a minute? 🐮 Or my love for art? I painted these back in the day when I only did art for myself (aside from the wooden sign). That's when I had the most fun with my art. Nowadays I feel the pressure. Pressure of social media. Pressure to post more "consistently" and the pressure of creating art to simply show it off on Instagram and the like. . . . If you've been feeling it to, I simply want to remind you to create for YOURSELF. Social media should form around your life, not the other way around. I see too many influencers and big accounts out there fishing for opportunities just simply because it would look good on Instagram. . . Instagram is a highlight reel and nothing more. I'm not saying it's a bad thing and that we shouldn't use it, however, I dont feel that an app should rule so much of our lives and our happiness. If you havent been able to tell, I'm so largely inspired by nature and the forest. With my latest paintings, I feel like I'm finally beginning to dig into the realms of what I love to paint. If you scroll down into my earlier stuff, even just a few months ago, you'll notice that things look completely different. I've lost followers due to the change, but am also gaining new ones.
