Aalis was walking back to her dressing room after taking her final bow in front of the audience. She could feel her heart pounding in her ears as she walked. It wasn’t because of the performance; she was used to that after all. No, it was because she knew that Quinn was in the audience this time. Or at least, she hoped that he was. She had given him tickets to the performance of Sleeping Beauty which was one of the most iconic ballets and if someone was going to see her perform in on, it should be that one.
Since she was well practiced at her evening routine, she was out of her makeup and costume and in normal clothes by the time she heard a knock. There it was again, the flutter in her stomach. “Come in,” she called, quickly tucking her hair behind her ears and walking over to the door.
