“I named you Quintessential, so that you would always remember how special you are to me.” One of David Esrock’s “daughters” and the youngest of his childer living at the hostel. A former classmate who attended university alongside Ian McDermott, though he knew her as “Olivia” prior to her Embrace. She was a promising young student with an interest in the arts, but she focused her studies to become a veterinarian. At first, Ian was intimidated by her, as she reminded him of the popular girls that used to bully him in high school. However, her warm and friendly demeanor eventually won him over, and he found himself tentatively spending more time with her outside the classroom. Just as he was preparing to make overtures of true friendship, Olivia suddenly stopped showing up to class. Investigations eventually revealed that she had committed suicide, which came as a shock to Ian, as he never once assumed she might be a “troubled youth”. Now that they have been reunited as vampires, Ian is more determined than ever to befriend her, and he deeply regrets not having reached out to her before. Though he doesn’t know whether her alleged suicide actually precipitated her Embrace, or if it was merely a cover story to explain her disappearance, he’s deeply worried about the implications. She has since given up her artistic pursuits and has become much more quiet and withdrawn compared to how she once was in life. Ian hopes to rekindle her passion for painting, as it might help her to cope with the horror of what’s been done to her. Shoutout once again to @luclovestruck for another amazing commission! Thank you so much for designing her eclectic oufit!
