okay so the devour quirk's acid sac is a whole separate organ that produces acid (a sort of acid gland essentially?) so the amount toshinori can eat in one go wouldn't change. but i'm assuming it's cancelled out any gastrectomy-induced intolerances he may have had? or even prior intolerances since the whole point of the devour quirk is "eat anything"

Well, he can theoretically digest anything, but I wouldn't recommend like eating plastics or anything like that.

An idea of mine, based on the current manga set up and some of my quirk headcanons.

Okay, I’ve been thinking about Toga’s quirk today and I’ve come up with a random question that’s really bothering me.

Day 1: Toga steals a persons blood Day 2: This person gets a haircut. Day 3: Toga drinks their blood ——

Does she have long hair or short hair?

This could lead to a lot of applications of her quirk in either scenario.

I think she would have the “properties” the blood contained at the time it was attained (long hair), but I’m not sure?

If her hair was long, that would mean that she inherits whatever attributes the person has at the time the blood was first taken. In theory, this could lead to her being able to take on a persons past appearance and abilities. Imagine the applications if she were to get someone likes All Might’s blood from back when they were in their prime. She could also use the blood of someone that had already died. (That’s a scary thought.) This makes the most sense to me, but the other option could potentially work too.

If her hair was short though, that would mean that her quirk recognized that the person had changed their appearance after the blood was taken. This shouldn’t be possible, right? If it was possible, would she have to see the person after their blood was taken in order for her quirk to be able to replicate their new appearance? Or does her quirk innately know that they have changed? Does the blood somehow “foresee” the changes it will go under? …If a person dies after she takes their blood does she look like a zombie??? Each answer I think of just opens the door to more questions 🥲.

Hi, there! Hope you're doing well. I just wanna ask a question regarding Shoto and Dabi/Touya and their quirk evolution.

People are kinda predicting that at some point Shoto's fire quirk is gonna evolve which will be really cool to see, but it is also said that it'll be turned blue in color and I'm like - Ehh...

I mean blue flames is Touya's specialty which makes him unique from Shoto and Enji. Do you think Hori sensei will take away Touya's specialty from him???

Hmmm so I don't think Shouto would get blue flames, mainly because I don't think it would add to the story but also because it hasn't been established that Shouto loses control of his quirk to the extent Dabi does when he's emotional. i mentioned it a little here. the last time we saw shouto's quirk go wildly OP was before he started processing his trauma. he's in a different headspace now.

on the other hand, there was this panel saying his limits are unknown:

and things like that aren't said without reason. so basically... it'd be cool if he got an upgrade like blue flames, but i think he'll prob learn to use his fire and ice at the same time since it's been such a huge goal for him.

also, i don't think dabi feels like his quirk is a gift anymore. sure, he might have thought that when he was 13 before what happened at sekoto peak, but i think his feelings have changed since then.

It seems like he thinks about "that day" often but not in a positive light. i mean, it changed his life, his health, his appearance, and isolated him.

Serious thought but....

since Aizawa has to look at someone to cancel their quirk would it work on someone whose quirk is something that hides them from Aizawa? Like a shield or something????

Hmm.... it is... difficult to describe. I am fairly numb in that form, but it is something akin to someone breathing on the back of your neck, or a gently push against your skin.

do you think kiri's TONGUE gets hard, though? and if it does, is he still able to talk? or does it just stiffen up in his mouth??

Oh yeah, if the muscles in his arms get hard and his teeth, I would assume his tongue gets hard too. Unless his quirk only creates a thick wall of his unbreakable skin and muscles. But I'm pretty sure his is able to talk because I think he was talking in some episodes with his quirk activated

Super Power Saturday: Gecko

SPOILERS FOR THE MANGA

Okay, so for Super Power Saturday, I'm going to talk about Spinner's quirk Gecko.

From what we know in the Manga, Gecko is a mutant type quirk that allows it's user to cling to walls. And the manga wants us to believe that that's all there is to it.

However, I want to talk about potential. The potential I believe this quirk has is quite powerful.

Many, not all, types of geckos have regenerative abilities that can allow them to regrow missing limbs. Many times it's their tail, but some can also regrow full legs.

Now in terms of the quirk, I don't think it is an instant regeneration, and it most certainly isn't painless. I imagine it would be like growing in teeth, but at a larger scale. And depending on the missing limb, the time it takes to regenerate would vary.

For example, a finger/toe would take a few days, a hand/foot could take a few weeks, and an arm/leg would probably take a couple of months.

Another ability comes in the form of night vision. Most species of gecko are indeed nocturnal and have adapted to such conditions. So, I also believe that Spinner would easily be able to see in the dark.

Though it might not seem like much, being able to see in the dark and regenerate limbs are two very powerful abilities. It would make him a pain to deal with in nighttime fights or in dark rooms.
