Cant stop thinking about reader being Shotos quirkless twin sister, born minutes after her brother.

Already being considered lesser than her brother by their father because she’s a girl, only to have her fathers disappoint and anger grow tenfold once it’s discovered that’s she doesn’t have a quirk, a stain marring the Todoroki family’s prestine and powerful image.

At least he gets a son with the perfect quirk as compensation, a successor to take his place and one day surpass Allmight, even if he now has to try and hide away his youngest child from the public eye, worried people might think him and his genes weak for having created such a powerless offspring.

Thinking of Yandere!Enji wanting to keep you locked up and out of sight, to protect both his reputation as well as his fragile, defenceless youngest daughter from a world full of villains ready and waiting to take advantage of a weak little thing like you, his paranoia of losing you going over the deep end after Touyas death disappearance.

Even with his focus on Shoto’s training, building him up to be a worthy successor, he can’t let you roam around freely like your older siblings, Fuyumi and Natsuo; whilst not having any combat training, they at the very least have quirks to protect themselves with if they need to.

You on the other hand need to be protected by your father. He may not be the best dad around, but when its just the two of you he can pretend for a moment he’s the kind of guardian and source of safety that children should view their parent as, bringing out unfamiliar paternal instincts within the man.

Having you around strokes his ego, making him feel even more powerful compared to your delicate self, a big, strong protector watching over his little girl, the proud lion guarding an innocent little lamb.

Yandere!Shoto feeling just as protective over his twin, but expressing it differently. He doesn’t just want you safe, he wants to see you happy. (Although, if a choice had to be made between your safety and happiness, Shoto would find himself in a position more similar to his fathers then he would like to admit.) Despite Endeavours best efforts to keep him isolated from his siblings (and you from the world) no one could truly take you from him, his angel sister, who came into the world with him and would continue to stay by his side for the rest of his life if he has his way. You’re his other half, the both of you two sides of the same coin. He believes he was born with such a powerful quirk so that he would be strong enough to always look after you, working himself to the bone when training to become the next No. 1 Pro Hero so that he’ll be strong enough to protect you from anything that might try to take you from him.

Unlike Endeavour, Shoto doesn’t want to keep you locked in a cage like a sad little pet bird, he wants to see you joyful and free (so long as he’s there to watch over you.) He wants to pay you back for all the years that you would sneak into his room after painful and gruelling training sessions with his father, your fingers running through his duel coloured hair and tracing soothing patterns onto his back as you hold him in your arms and comfort him, telling him how loved he is and that he will never be alone. He holds onto you like a lifeline, because without you there is no him. In Shotos eyes, it’s the two of you against the world, and he would rather die then part from his twin.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Not truely. That’s what you told yourself, at least.

But, here you were. In some underground, unknown, untraceable building. As sterile as it is white, the smell of alcohol and cleaner the only things pungent enough for you to breath in.

And all of it was his fault. If you hadn’t of gone to that’s stupid mall, and bumped into that stupid man with arrow shaped hair — who took deep interest in the black ink that crawled up your arm in an odd fashion. Your soulmate mark.

But he did take notice of you, and he did make idle chat of it, and you were naive enough to indulge him. To answer the questions he so kindly threw at you without a second thought.

God cursed you with being polite, you supposed.

You can’t be sure what happened the days that followed, but you know a week after you ran into the strange man was the day you truely sealed your fate.

You’d somehow managed to run into him again, the same mall, just outside of it, this time he had someone with him. A man around your age with sharp eyes. The mark on your arm began throbbing slightly when he spoke to you, it almost felt like it was moving under your shirt, though you couldn’t be sure.

Not when the same man who started the conversation was pressing a syringe into your arm. Whatever he gave you working quick, to their advantage, and they had you in a sleek black car by the time your vision was gone completely.

And now, here you were, days later.

Overhaul, you’d heard some call him. Kai is what he’d requested you use. Monster is what you’d chosen instead.

He didn’t get angry, didn’t argue, didn’t put up a fuss at the cruel name. Only commented on fate. Saying your soul marks would bind you eventually, and no matter how long it took, he’d wait.

He was odd from the first meeting, wearing a white doctors mask over his face, which soon grew to a plague doctors mask when he threw you in the sterile room you were being held in.

A clean freak, you noted dully, washing his hands constantly while mumbling about the world being a dirty place. That quirks were dirty. 

And then he’d turn around to face you, drying his hands on a paper towel before stepping into your space. He’d lift the mask from over his face and let it hit the floor, and no matter how much you’d grimace or flinch away, he’d tilt your head up to face him. A small smile making its way onto his features.

“You’re not dirty. You never have been. You’ve been perfect from the start— never tainted. That’s how I know we’re truely soulmates, that we’re truely meant to be.”

You couldn’t deny the throbbing of your soul mark, the same as it always was when he came near you or initiated contact, but god, you wished it stopped. You wished the awful fate would be some cruel joke.

“I know you’re the only one for me.”

You can’t find it in yourself to fight it, not when the throbbing becomes almost soothing. And not when hands that you know have hurt others feel so soft against your skin.

You lived in a loft above the cafe your parents owned. The U.A. High School was near the cafe, but you were homeschooled instead so you could also work with your parents.

Neito was a regular at the cafe, which is how the two of you met. He was buying a pastry as an after school treat and you sorta-kinda-maybe dropped it on him.

————> It was after a lot of apologies and the offer of a free replacement pastry that Neito found himself with a crush, because you were just so sweet and kind.

Being rather shy, you let Neito do most of the talking to people and chimed in when you felt like it. It was a comfortable arrangement between the two of you.

————> If you felt Neito was being too mean, you would stop him and make him apologize for whatever it was he had said.

Not having a quirk sometimes made Neito nervous because what if you got hurt? It took a while to convince him you would be fine (and even then he still would worry).

Since you didn’t have a Student ID Card or Special Entry Permission ID, you couldn’t visit Neito while he was at school. You were usually busy with your homeschooling or at the cafe during the day so it worked out to see one another later in the day.

————> Neito had tried on many occasions to get you a Special Entry Permission ID, and even tried to get you a copy of his Student ID. So far no luck.

A lot of people were surprised that a sweet, shy girl like you was with a guy like Neito, but they wouldn’t deny that he was a lot nicer when you were around.

He would even tone down his mocking of Class 1-A in your presence (but never entirely stop—there wasn’t a force in the world that could stop that).

A quirkless reader (has no aspirations to be a hero) who often get targeted by criminals because their older sibling/family member is a renowned hero with a VERY useful quirk to tracking down even the most elusive criminals. (You can choose the quirk if you want!) however, the reader, who has already accepted their life as a quirkless, feels powerless, weak and like a burden. Deku and todoroki reactions to a friend/crush like that? If its too mich, i get it and you dont need to write it!!

Midoriya Izuku

Is this him??? Like he’s reminded of himself prior to choking down some of All Might’s hair. 

He feels such a connection to them and has already sworn to protecting them before he learns that their sibling is a pro hero and that your life is constantly in danger. 

Even without the fact that your sibling is one of the ones Midoriya admires, he’d probably protect you anyways. 

Do you need help getting groceries? No problem he’ll be right there. 

Is there a weird noise coming from an alley near your house? Have no fear ‘cause he’s coming over and dragging Kirishima with him. 

He would try and be with you  whenever he can. Who knows who you’ll meet just walking around - I mean Shigaraki ended up cornering him at a crowded mall. 

Although, he would make sure it’s ok with you. He doesn’t want to make you feel like you’re helpless. 

Whenever you’re feeling down about not being able to protect yourself and becoming a huge weight for your sibling and other pro heroes, Midoriya is there with a very rambled lecture and hugs and reassurance. 

He will absolutely make sure you’re happy and that YOU. ARE. VALID. and aren’t worthless. 

He knows what it’s like to feel like that and honestly, he doesn’t want you to continue that line of thinking. He wants to be a hero like All Might and if he can’t make you feel safe, he’d have already failed. This means protecting you, even from yourself!!!!

Todoroki Shouto

Although he can’t relate as much as Midoriya can. He does know what it’s like to have a relative who’s well known for being a hero and having to constantly be on guard for villains. 

He may not show it as much but he’ll try to empathise with you about being powerless and such. 

I mean, not long ago ( like before the sports festival) he was in a similar position with his father being the one to hold him back. 

Whether you want him to or not, he’ll be somewhere near you whenever you go out in public. Either right beside you or wandering in the background. He knows that villains can strike from anywhere and you’re safety is a high priority. 

If he finds out that your pro-hero sibling does view you as a dead weight, he’d probably go march into their office and give them a piece of his mind. 

He’s not the best at emotions but he’ll try and cheer you up when you’re feeling useless. 

If anything, it’s a testament to how well he is as a hero. He’s already aware of how to act around people (the make up course for the licence exam should be enough proof). 

There’s one thing for certain, he won’t be leaving you alone anytime soon.

Unplanned Pregnancy

"What, you didn't think all that fucking might lead to this?" That question broke Shouto out of his intense reverie. You just told him you might be pregnant. You hadn't taken a test yet to be sure. After you told him, he sank into a deep reverie. "No, I just..." He didn't finish his thought so you continued. "It's not like you to be this spacy. Maybe you're working too hard, Baby." "Maybe," was his thoughtful reply.

It was hard to not reach over and shake him by the shoulder. He was normally quiet but not like this. The wheels were determinedly turning and you weren't sure what his conclusions would be. What Shouto needed was a day or two off. Lately, it's been villain after villain needing defeating. He came home late only to take you to bed, passionately make love to you, and then fall asleep clinging to you tightly. Like all the evil he was fighting was just to keep you alone safe. "Take a day off and stay home with me." You nodded at him. "I can't." "Why not?" "Every villain I meet knows who I am. A few of them have mentioned my 'quirkless lover.' They say it to shake my resolve." He frowned. "It only makes me want to defeat them all the more." "...so you're worried one of them is gonna find me?" He finally looked over to eye you with his grey-coloured eye but with a softer gaze. "Yeah." "Well," you said, "that's a reasonable worry. But I barely see you and we need to talk about this." You put your palm to your lower stomach. "True." You agreed his day off could be a week later to let him settle some business. He felt better about that. Plus you could get a pregnancy test in the meantime. You were pretty sure the result was going to be positive. A three-week late period could only mean one thing when you were healthy otherwise. You were happy to find the result positive. Shouto was cautious but also happy. Your pregnancy meant another fragile life to protect. You were also happy to just have him home. Truth be told, you felt safer when he was near, not when he was out fighting. As soon as you had taken in the positive result on the pregnancy test, you had squeezed your poor boyfriend in the tightest hug. After a moment, he returned it more gently. He made sure to soak his tears in your shirt so you didn't see. He pulled back and held your hands in the space between you. "You know what this means?" "Uhh...I'm pregnant?" He huffed a chuckle. "No, it means you're part of my family now." "Oh, right." You were a part of the drama that was his family now. He took you to his father's house. His sister would want to hear the happy news right away. You felt bad but you were glad that the plan was to see his mother later. You were awkward around her, knowing what had happened between them and not knowing what to say. Having arrived at Todoroki's father's house, you had the bad luck of coming across him. Normally, he was out. "I don't approve of you," he said, his gaze burning coldly down at you. He said it like he didn't approve of your existence in general, let alone being with his son. You had a feeling it had to do with your quirkless nature. Whether that was the reason or not, he was rude and cold. Endeavor was exactly as Shouto described, ice-cold despite his quirk involving fire. It pissed you off. You had every right to be by his son's side. But his big stature and intimidating presence kept you frozen to the spot with a dumb look on your face. "It doesn't matter if you approve, Old Man," Shouto said angrily beside you. Endeavor's eyes slid from you to his son. You felt released from a spell and relaxed. "I can't stop you but I think it's a mistake." "Whatever," Shouto muttered. "Come on," he said to you. "My sister wants to talk to you." It was a wonder to you that he could dismiss the awe-inspiring man that was his father so easily. But he grew up with him so you supposed he was used to it. Shouto was tugging your hand in the direction of his sister. You tore your gaze off his father to follow, a chill going down your body. You felt safe with your hero boyfriend but Endeavor was going to take some getting used to.

Hawks x Quirkless!Reader

Sometimes your relationship with Hawks gets on your nerves. Not because of the man himself (never him), but because of the media.

Hawks had charmed you with his boyish smile and nervous enthusiasm. You can still remember the way his face had lit up when you’d first agreed to meet him for coffee. Then for lunch. Then for dinner. The two of you had fit together like you’d been meant for it, like two long lost puzzle pieces, and you had made a promise to yourself that you would focus only on your relationship. Not on his fanclub or the way the media picked apart your every interaction.

Honestly, it was pretty quiet at first, because you were just a new face on the Number 2 hero’s arm. But then one of the gossip rags had dug up your quirk registration form (somehow) and the news of your quirklessness had blown up.

Suddenly, every news outlet and talk show wanted Hawks to do an interview, just so they could grill him about what he saw in you.

Whenever it comes up you bite your lip and duck your head and throw yourself into your work, determined not to let any of their hurtful words taint your relationship.

Because the day the news had broken Hawks had shown up at your apartment with your favorite takeout and flowers and a fucking cake, pulled you into his arms, and kissed you soundly.

“I don’t care what they say, it doesn’t mean shit.”

You’d cried then, clinging to him as you sobbed. He’d tightened his hold on you and pressed a kiss against your hair and you knew, in that moment, that you would do everything in your power not to let go of him.

That was easier said than done sometimes, because while no one had attacked you physically, words often cut far worse.

But you’d powered through it, determined.

You’re done with work for the day and are heading home when your phone buzzes. You look down and can’t help but smile at the photo of Hawks you use as his ID; he’s grinning goofily into the camera, a few of his own feathers stuck haphazardly into his hair. You open the text.

‘Are you home yet?’

‘Not yet.’ You send the reply and jog to catch the crosswalk light.

A minute later your phone buzzes again.

‘I’ll be home late. Doing an interview with Hero Planet @ 7.’ You pause. Hero Planet is a highly respected media outlet that includes a magazine and a television channel that are known for doing intensive research before they publish any of their articles. It’s one of the most esteemed media outlets out there and, if a hero agrees to do an interview with them, it’s guaranteed to have a huge audience.

You make it home in record time and, with your heart in your throat, turn on your tv.

The interview hasn’t started yet but the camera is already trained on Hawks, lounging on a couch across from Miyagi Daikaku. The older gentleman leans forward a little and starts asking questions at 7 on the dot. It’s mostly about Hawks’ hero work, his collaboration with Endeavor’s agency, and about his opinion on the apparent uptick in Villain activity.

In fact, it isn’t until the interview is winding to a close that the subject of his relationship with you comes up.

Miyagi shuffles his papers together and adjusts his glasses.

“Now, the final question I have for you, Wing Hero Hawks, is in relation to Miss Y/L/N.” He says. You sit a little farther forward on your couch, watching as Hawks shifts in his own seat, chin tipping forward as he focuses more intently on the other man.

“Now, Hero Planet would like to take this opportunity to remind our viewers that 1 in 5 people do not possess a quirk. That being said, there have been some who have questioned or even criticized your choice to date Miss Y/L/N, purely because of her quirklessness. Do you wish to address these concerns or make a comment, Wing Hero Hawks?” Miyagi asks. Hawks is silent for a moment, his molten gold eyes brightening under the studio lights.

“When you love someone it’s not something you can control. And you don’t just stop, not ever. Even when other people roll their eyes or call you crazy…even then. No, especially then.” He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees and looking directly into the camera.

“I would have fallen in love with Y/N regardless of whether she had a quirk or not. I love her and anyone who wants to question me about that can shove it. Quirks don’t define people. We’re all just human beings trying to get by, one day at a time.”

You’re vaguely aware of Miyagi signing off and the segment ending, but it’s hard to see through the burn of tears escaping your eyes. Even half an hour later, when Hawks lets himself into your apartment, you’re still crying.

“C’mere.” He envelopes you in his arms and his wings and you go willingly, kissing across his face despite your tears.

“I love you.” You say against the corner of his mouth and he smiles, ducking his head to kiss you properly.

“I love you.” He echoes.

It’s hard being in a relationship with Hawks, but you wouldn’t trade him for the world.
