“It’s alright,” Thatch cooed, “It’s alright.”
Quinn was forcing out harsh breaths, shaking her head as the water clinged to her body. “No, no…no…” over and over she repeated the word. The cold water stung her like it did that day, chilling her to the bone and sending her mind reeling.
Thatch got behind her and pulled her to his chest, wrapping his arms around her to stop her struggles. He didn’t mind–nor care–that the water was soaking into his jacket, all that mattered was getting his beloved to calm down.
“Quinn,” When she did not answer him, he called out her name once more. No response.
Thatch moved his hands to her arms and began rubbing, slowly bringing warmth back to her. He motioned for one of his brothers to bring a towel. They quickly complied, and soon he was gently massaging her head dry. Quinn’s teeth still chattered and her body continued to shake, her hand not once letting go of his pants.
“Come on, you got to dry yourself, okay?” Thatch whispered, gently bringing the towel in front of her.
Quinn slowly took the towel from his hand, letting her grip from his pants go and shakily dry her legs. She continued to dry herself, small gasps emitting from her. Quinn stopped her movements, her chest heaving as small hiccups escaped her, gasps turning into small sobs.
Thatch’s heart instantly leaped and he brought his arms around her frame, pulling her into his chest, feeling the vibrations of her crying. He moved his head into her hair as he comforted her.
“You’re okay, you’re okay, you’re safe.”
Sometimes, I get so overwhelmed with the love Quinn and Thatch share it’s just
God they are so good together it’s just mind breaking I can’t I love them so much they are so in love with each other godddd
Branding (design) concept for an education app called Quitch. This for my one of my units for university that required to create a branding strategy for the creators of the Quitch app.
What is Quitch?
Quitch is a quiz game that challenges students to learn, but in a fun way (formerly known as HEdApp). Employing a winning combination of learning theory with neuroscience, Quitch employs game elements to REALLY engage your students. Teachers curate and structure ‘classes’ separately and then invite their students in to compete with each other for prestige, points and badges. Research has demonstrated remarkable results in improving both engagement and academic performance. A perfect companion app to your teaching plan, Quitch represents a new and effective way to reach out to students.

The Concept
The brand elements (brand name, logo, slogan & design) are focused on emphasising the fun and gameified dimensions of the app. This method is used in order to intense the targeted students to interact with the app and encourage an active engagement. SkillUp is the name we propose the app to be called. The name is based on the gaming term, level up. SkillUp is also a metaphor that refers to the action of using the app. The more you use the app, the better the student will become in remembering the learning material, thus levelling up in their study experience. The name sets the brand image of being fun and the brand identity of being a gamified learning. The logo design is inspired by the classic arcade style which was very common in the 80s. It used as the design is recognisable to be related to games which will help express the brand image. The bar in the logo is used to balance the design and is a graphic that represents a experience bar which is a common feature in games and relates to the brand name. Orange and green is used as the logo colours as orange is the colour of creativity, encouragement and motivation.& green is the colour the represents growth which relates to the concept of levelling up in knowledge by use of this app. The slogan is a term that was inspired by common gaming terms play to win & free to play, but was chosen as it was very catchy to say and relates to the brand identity and describes the brand functions of the app. The term play is an expression that is connected to the feeling of fun while 2 learn relates to the function which the students will experience in using the app. The design & style of the app is used to create the brand image of being a game rather then a revision tool. The design and its colours are used to simulate the consumers to feel that they are using a game hub when interacting with the product. The secondary colours were chosen due to their appeal of being bright, uplifting and the ability for them to be contrasted on dark or light backgrounds. Dark grey was chosen as the default background colour as it is associated with gaming interfaces. Users will have an option to opt for the white background in order to get the contrast that feels right for them.
New features recommendations
Added features to the existing product will allow more for the students to interact with. One of these recommended features is a function for a point and leveling up system. Use of points and level will be to unlock avatar accessories and purchase new themes and items in the avatar editor. The challenge mode is another recommendation. This mode is to be called pvp, which stands for player vs player and is a common gaming term. In this mode students can earn points from competing against each other & bid points against each other. PVP has various of modes for offline & online play which include pvp battle, time battle, pass the bomb and group battle. By using these product related attributes it will allow SkillUp to build on its brand image of fun and to motivate the target segment in using the app.
The artwork of the avatar is owned by mclelun and used for the purpose to show what style that the avatars should be, which is a pixelated style www.mclelun.com
