wandered into one of my favorite antique haunts today.
the kind of place where time forgets itself—
where glass-eyed foxes stare from velvet corners,
and dried specimens whisper secrets in formalin.
hand-thrown pottery, tarnished silver,
jewelry that feels like it remembers its wearer’s dreams.
i held a human skull in my hands.
it felt oddly tender—like holding history’s face.
there were mushie figurines playing tiny guitars,
butterflies frozen mid-flight,
and scorpions suspended in glass like warnings or prayers.
everything curated for the little weird heart
that aches for beauty in the uncanny.
i did buy something today—
a white agate slice, cool and quiet.
for the house. for the energy.
for the subtle shift toward protection
when things feel just slightly… off.
that the world is full of quiet magic,
if you know where to look.
