1. How many works do you have on Ao3?

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

4. What fandoms do you write for?

Star Trek - mostly AOS and mostly Mckirk, but I want to branch out more into other ships and other verses. X-men, The Boys, Father Brown (yeah Buddy), I’d like to pick up Psych, Hawaii 50, and burn notice some day.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! But it’s hard. And I’m behind. I really like that interaction, nothing means more to me, but I have to be in the PERFECT headspace to do so, and well that’s fleeting. So if it takes me two years to reply to your comment, know I know they’re there and they are like the best thing in the world

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh that’s rough. Umm…oh! Ha. I forgot I wrote this?? Forever and more.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

man I’m such a sap. This current mckirk that’s not done yet.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I’ve had some weird bickering on one fic. But not at me. (Again, yet)

9. Do you write smut?

So it took me a while to not feel like a horrible human for the fact that I do indeed write smut. I write a lot of smut. In fact, the best part of my writing is the smut. It’s the other bits I struggle with. Kudos to the person that said they liked my arguments today. It’s nice to know there’s something good OUTSIDE the smut.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I’ve done one. I have another in the works and one as an idea! (Butcher needs to meet AOS Jim Kirk. Or maybe the other way around).

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Omg why would someone even WANT to.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Lol. Nooooo.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Omg YES. my writing partner in crime is @ncc1701ohno and we’ve written a lot together! We have like a whole universe thing that we’ve yet to publish too!! Also I really need to get stepping on completing a fic with @twinkboimler

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

ROLO? But I mean. Wolverine is a character I’ve been writing for well over twenty years (often in rp) so right now I’d say scogan for sure.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

There’s a giant fucking pile.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Smut. Rhythm. Dialogue.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue tags. Rushing to the end of the story. Being too stark sometimes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I mean if I could I would. I’ve used Vulcan before.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Strange new worlds, I think.

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

so I thought I’d have a hard time answering this but my brain went TAPPED OUT almost immediately. So I guess that one.

Fairly close to Lily! She isn’t as much of a perfectionist as this implies, but there is a lot of inner turmoil that she really needs to work through.

What Monster Protects You?

Insatiable hunger... frozen woods... lost... inhuman... depraved. For some, wendigos are a travesty of legend but for others, they are as real as the air we breathe. The bone-chilling tale of the wendigo originates from Algonquian Native American folklore and is the horrifying result of brutal starvation and desperation. A lone hunter strayed from the path, becoming trapped in a snowy wasteland, succumbs to the gnawing craving to fill the hole in his gut... with human flesh. Having grown fond of the flavour, the hunter consumes more and more. With each victim, the hunter finds his humanity slipping away, his body becoming more and more bestial. The hunger does not dissipate either, in fact, it only grows stronger with each passing kill. Yet, the hunter cannot stop himself. He continues to feast on human flesh until he turns into something hardly human. A wendigo. They are said to have the ability to replicate human cries, drawing its victims deeper into the woods and towards their death. You have always been something of an anomaly.  You have never quite fit in. You may seem normal enough but it is as if you don't quite fit into line with everyone else. It is this disconnect which connects the wendigo to you. Maybe you were once a target but now, you are a curiosity. It has dismissed its hunger pangs to observe you. Maybe you remind it tragically of the life it once had. Whatever the reason, it desires to protect that spark you carry, that which should never be extinguished. You have since become rather isolated, putting up a facade to keep others at bay. Perhaps it is this isolation which causes you to lose touch with humanity or the connection with those around you. Maybe you are the type to eat away your problems. Just remember: stick to the path,

You never know where desperation may lead you...

Dream Job: Head of infection control/hospital epi at a large academic hospital. Clinic with HIV and general ID patients like once a week. Mostly admin/quality improvement work with research on the side. Not sure if the Epidemiologic Intelligence Service is something I’ll apply to...I’m getting older and tired. 

Dream Trip: There are three tiers to my dream trips: likely unattainable, within the next 10 years, within the next 5. 

Likely unattainable: horseback riding across the Mongolia steppes Next ten: Capetown, South Africa, Argentina, Bhutan, Myanmar, Indonesia Next five: England, Wales, Scotland, Oaxaca Mexico, Nova Scotia

Favorite Food: anything involving a carbohydrate outside and filling on the inside. And pie. Which sorta falls into that prior category.

Languages: English and two other languages

Random Fact: I may bake once a week these days and I love cooking, but before med school, I wasn’t allowed to cook or bake for myself regularly! My parents felt that cooking was just taking time away from studying and my mother didn’t let me into the kitchen. Even during college I could only afford dorm living with no communal kitchen spaces. I ended up learning how to cook through trial and error, things I recalled growing up, learning from friends, my one aunt who loves cooking, watching cooking shows and reading books.
