These are not necessarily fics that were written/released in 2019, nor are they all fics I first discovered in 2019 - just my favorites of the fics I’ve read this year. In no particular order:
1. Another Day Gettin’ into Trouble (whoknows) - Harry’s drunk when the idea occurs to him. He’s also a pop star, so sometimes his drunk ideas turn into actual things instead of just ideas. The clone-a-willy kit is one of them.
2. The Tiny Little Bungalow (pointerbrother) - Fifteen-year-old Louis Tomlinson gets reluctantly uprooted from his Doncaster-life when his dad decides to move in with his new girlfriend Anne and her two kids. Speaking of the kids, one of them is this curly-haired bloke who's just a little too pretty for both his own and Louis' good.
3. We’ll Be Seamless (dinosaursmate) - Louis spends all his spare time scrolling arty nude blogs on Tumblr but amongst them all, Green is his favourite.
4. Tightrope (sadaveniren) - Louis gets pregnant from "one last time" sex and he and Harry somehow think they'll be able co-parent without it being weird for anyone (most especially their new boyfriends).
5. We Will Find Our Way (supernope) - Harry and Louis are uni students studying abroad in New York, stuck in the dorms together over Christmas.
6. Autumn at My Window (thecellardoor) - Harry and Louis are both in the band and have been sharing flats and hotel rooms for nearly five years, but never made the leap past 'friends who are too close for comfort'.
7. Falling for Me Won’t be a Mistake (rearviewdreamer) - Harry is married to his job and so overworked that he doesn't know how to stop. All it takes is a forced Hawaiian get-a-away, the warm tropical breeze of the island, and the most beautiful, elusive man he's ever seen to make him remember what living is like outside of work. Well, that, and the little souvenir he accidentally takes home with him.
8. Fumbling in the Dark (quodpersortem) - Louis is straight, Harry is not. They still shag a lot.
9. Let’s Redecorate Our Lives (thoughtlessblogger) - Louis hires a decorator and gets more than he'd anticipated.
10. Your Kiss (dimpled_halo) - Louis and Harry are best friends who make things more complicated when they start to kiss.
11. Time Bomb (thissentimentalheart) - Louis has everything: a lead role in a giant Hollywood franchise, a glittering new house with an entertaining Irish neighbor, and a steady, normal boyfriend who he probably loves. Louis never expected to become a household name among young Hollywood overnight. He also never expected to find something endearing about the enigmatic rockstar who keeps showing up on his back porch.
12. I Want You So Much (but I Hate Your Guts) (becauselarry) - Louis gets accepted to play for the Manchester University Alpha-Beta Football Team. The only problem: Louis is actually an Omega. He is determined to make it big in the football world, though, and he can't do that bound to an Omega team. With the help of a faked doctor's certificate and some pretty strong suppressants he is ready to fight for his dream.
13. Maps can be Poems when You’re on Your Own (suspendrs) - Harry falls in love with the guy his best friend is fooling around with.
14. The Second Hand Unwinds (kingsofeverything) - Louis Tomlinson is one of the first members of NASA's top secret Chrono Exploration Program. When things go wrong and he's sent further back in time than planned, he has no other option than to show up on his ex-boyfriend's doorstep.
