Rory was the only person I shipped Quinn with. I know it's a unpopular ship, and maybe even slightly weird since you know, they never talked lol, but Dianna and Damian background stuff was enough to get me to ship them, and after he left, he remained being the only character I shipped her with.
Quinn stood staring at the mirror, her head was spinning but not like when she was hungry, though had tried eating. No this was different. Like someone was reaching in an mixing everything up. She could feel herself start to shake before she collapsed her head hitting and breaking the sink.
Quinn loved the Museum of Natural History, not that she was able to get there very often. She hadn’t been the best at history in school, but there was something about being surrounded by the history of the world that gave her the spark that she needed to try and find out as much as she could. Even everyone around her seemed to be getting into the spirit of the place, and sure there were a lot of tourists there who were probably there just to say that they’d been there, but some of them seemed to be really interested in what they were doing there at the museum. It was clear that some of them were students, vigorously taking notes, and she couldn’t help but smile a little. It was times like this that she realised how fortunate she was with her college course, in that a lot of the note taken took place in her classes and lectures, and most of the time she was being proactive with her projects.
This particular project was something that really caught her eye when she was given her list of projects for the new semester, and she had ideas for it straight away – her reason for being in the museum in the first place. Her brief was ‘Through The Ages’, and where better to start looking for inspiration than in the Museum of Natural History? She was lost in everything around her, constantly snapping pictures of things that caught her attention. She was definitely beginning to be inspired by everything around her, and that meant that she was lost in her own world, continuing to take pictures and make mental notes of everything that she was thinking of and the ides that were coming to her mind. It was as she was walking around the giant tyrannosaurus-rex that she managed to bump into someone else, causing Quinn to quickly come back to reality and out of her thought bubble. “Oh my goodness, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there. I was in my own world, I’m sorry.” She quickly apologised.
Summary: Rory find out that Quinn was still having a hard time trying to understand the subject of the math classes and Rory decide to help her.
Quinn: tapped her pen on her desk in a slow rhythm, staring at the blackboard and trying to follow the lesson. But as usual, it wasn't easy for her. It didn't help that the teacher happened to be Mr. Flanagan. She had declined his offer of tutoring, scared that he might catch her staring at him. It was hard enough to concentrate in class. She really didn't need to spend even more time with him, especially if it was just the two of them. Frustrated, she started to doodle on the page in front of her, occasionally glancing up to appear to be paying attention.
Rory was explaining the subject and looking at the students from time to time to make sure that they were following it and they were understanding, he also was making some jokes and telling them about Ireland, that's how he worked, it wasn't just lessons and more lessons and more lessons, he stopped and talk about other stuff to make the class less boring. He notice that Quinn was having a hard time to follow it, but he didn't said anything, he knew that was a little hard for her to follow the subject since she said that already on tumblr, so he would talk with her after the class. After a few minutes the class ended.
Quinn sighed in relief when the class ended. She stood up and quickly grabbed her things, hoping to get out of there as fast as possible.
Rory saw that Quinn was about to leave the class room but stopped her before she could do that "Miss Fabray, I need to talk with ya 'bout something, can ya stay? It's important"
Quinn stopped mid-step as Mr. Flanagan called her. Anxiousness flared up in her stomach when she realized that the other students were filing out of the room and they would soon be the only ones remaining in the room. "Yes?" She answered, turning back and walking over to him. Wow, he really had beautiful eyes. "What is it, Mr. Flanagan?" She asked with a smile on her lips.
Rory was actually a little nervous as the other students got out of the class, he was so shy, and in a few minutes they both would be alone on the room "Hm... I couldn't help but notice that ya're still having difficulties on math, and if ya keep that way without I being able to help ya, ya're going to get worst" he said as he sat down on his table.
Quinn pressed her lips together and nodded. "Yes, I know." She admitted, her arms wrapped around her books in front of her chest.
Rory got up and walk closer of her "Maybe ya should let me help ya?"
Quinn felt her heart skip a little when he got closer. "And you think that tutoring could help me?" She asked. "Maybe math just isn't my cup of tea." she added with a little laugh.
Rory laughed "Don't be silly, there's not such thing as that, people just come up with that so they can have a excuse to give up, 'cause they're too lazy to keep trying" he laughed "I think that if tutoring ya could help, I believe in ya" he said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
Quinn smiled at him. "Okay, if you really think so, I guess we could try." After a short pause, Quinn realized that she had gotten distracted by his eyes again. Recovering from the moment of silence, she quickly added "so what time would work for you best?"
Rory smiled, glad that she would let him help her "good" he said with a small smille and trying not to blush as she looked into his eyes "Hm.. if i'm being honest i don't do anything after school, so whenever is good for ya, is good for me"
Quinn: "Oh." Quinn replied. "Then maybe we could just meet up at your office after classes ended? Once a week should suffice, I think. And emergency meetings whenever I notice that I'm completely lost with the exercises?" She asked with a smile.
Rory "Just once a week? I think that may be a too little, don't ya think?" he asked with a raised eyebrown.
Quinn was a bit shocked at that. "You think that's not enough? Well, I suppose we can start with several days a week at first to bring me up to speed on all the things I'm already behind on." She shrugged. "When do you want to start?"
Rory nodded "Yeah... that's exactly my point, ya're behind on a few things and it will neeed more than one day to help ya out with those things" he said with a frown "I don't know, whenever it's good for ya" he smiled.
Quinn: "Alright, how about tomorrow then?" Quinn asked.
Rory "Tomorrow sounds great" he smiled, it was going to be a little hard for him to be in a room alone with her, even more since this is the first time he was going to tutor someone.
Quinn smiled and nodded. "Then tomorrow it is. I'll see you tomorrow then." She said as a good bye and started walking out. She was still nervous about spending more time with him, but now that it was decided that he would tutor her, she might as well get this over with as soon as possible. And maybe it wouldn't be as difficult as she thought after all. They seemed to do okay just now. Before she reached the door, she turned around and smiled. "Have a nice day, Mr. Flanagan." She said, not able to resist to make it sound slightly flirty.
Rory nodded "Then I will see ya tomorrow as well, Miss Fabray" he smiled. Rory tried to avoid the blush when she said 'Have a nice day', but he couldn't help and he felt his cheeks getting res, he tried to hide but he knew that she probably saw it "Hm.. Ya too Miss Fabray" he smiles softly as he saw her get out the class room and he sat down on his table "She is just student, just a student" he whispered to himself trying to think of her as just that.
