For those following along, Rocket and I have landed in Melbourne! We’re chilling out at my bestie’s place until we have to check in at our hotel and enjoying the gorgeous weather. I’m still here and there will be photos.

It's 4:30pm.
I’m in Melbourne.
I’m drinking french press coffee Rocket made for me in our hotel suite.
It’s day 2 of our vacation and, while I feel delightfully lazy, my day actually started at 5am with my phone session with my therapist. We met my bestie for breakfast at Melbourne Central at 9 and Rocket and I took off on our own after, walking to Victoria Market and back up through the downtown core. We had Dolan Uyghur Food Heaven for lunch (which is amazing) and I think Rocket is truly stoked at the number of amazing restaurants in the area as well as the awesome architecture in the city. I feel really, really good that we came here and that she’s as amazed by the city as I was the first time I came here.
We ran by the chemist, got another coffee, ran back to the hotel when we both felt tired out... and that makes me feel really good as well. The fact that we can acknowledge when we’re tired and enjoy retreating to the hotel room without feeling like we’re wasting time if we’re not constantly on the go. That’s so helpful.
Things I feel positive about: the snacks we grabbed from Woolworth’s, the fact that our hotel suite has a french press AND an electric kettle, the sunny and cool weather in the city, Victoria Free Wi-Fi, writing and editing.
