Robin's Report - June 24th 2006 ___________________________ Notes B said he got a tip about the Maronis planning an attack on the Falcones. Not sure where he gets these tips from. Is there some secret Bat-hotline I don’t know about? Probably informants. Like in those old detective movies he pretends he doesn’t watch.
Summary 22:00ish- We found the truck already driving all over the place. It was burning from the inside, which is definitely not how trucks are supposed to work. We couldn’t reach it in time before it crashed straight into an apartment building and set the whole place on fire. B got most of the people out, but I didn’t see any kids. There were bikes outside, so I knew they were still in there. I ran in. I found two little girls curled up together, crying. I couldn’t carry both out through the fire, so I had to improvise. I wrapped them in my cape so the flames wouldn’t get to them, sat them on a broken door, and tied my Waynetech line around the door handles so I could pull them. Once we hit the stairs, I used the door like a sled and got them out. (And yes, it looked cool.) B was definitely scared for me. He didn’t say anything, but I know. Then he opened the truck’s back doors and… it was bad. Charred bodies everywhere. One guy was somehow still alive. B talked to him. He said the attack was done by someone named Tommy. B looked surprised — I guess this Tommy guy is super loyal to the Maronis? But then the guy said Tommy’s face melted during the attack. Like wax. Yuck.
Involved Parties Maroni Goons Tommy Maretti Maybe Falcone? Observations The idea of someone’s face melting like wax is gross. And creepy. But besides that part? I did awesome. I saved two kids.
