Where's that diagram, the one where it shows that your ability to see what makes art good (or in your case better, because it's already great) increases before your ability to produce the art of that quality? You're not bad, you're just about to level up. And maybe you're level 79 almost 80 and all the monsters are really tough because it's going to be a big new world out there. (I think my WoW references are at least 5 years out of date now.) Anyway, you rock.

@tereghan I’ve been trying to tell myself that for the past two months. That I’m just leveling up.  It’s no easy feat. It’s like...am I actually improving or becoming more shit. I do this ALL THE TIME. And it ends up being months before I can listen to said song/album/artist again without feeling that over-saturated feeling. Never knew there was a science behind it though!

I'm not alone yay!  Yeah I wish I could find the article where I read it...I could just be bullshitting myself to myself, but I swear there is actual brain-chemistry at work here.
