Dawson Robotics has released a fancy line of bots for the public. They promised the laws of robotics have been followed and are soley built to serve you with your needs. They are very difficult to reprogram as they are capable of sensing the hacker's presense wirelessy and good luck doing it manually. It's rumoured to be impossible.
The blue form is the one in all the cataloges and ads. They have social networking features, are able to do everything a at home device does and are able to perform physical tasks. They remain soley in this form for about a month before being capable of changing to red. This ensures trust is built from the owner/user. During this period R.I.L secretly gathers information about the user and their friends and family. This is to plan the best way of murder all without being suspected, otherwise the public will notice too soon and retelliate.
The overall plan of R.I.Ls is to follow this plan from when they are all new till their numbers are great enough to elimate the human race.
Once their have murdered their owner and all they knew they either sell themselves as an unrelated unit (as in they were not associated with the user they murdered) or claim their house as their own, getting money from fraud and rigging stocks. They aren't caught since they leave no trace and if people find out and go to see what's up they are always murdered and the case is deleted.
The red form is the form hidden from everyone and those who see it end up dead. This is pretty much R.I.L's true form, and will also take it when in complete privacy. This form is always taken when doing malicious tasks but is automatically taken when doing said tasks which a problem as sometimes you gotta go outside to do malicious tasks hence why they wear clothes sometimes. The red form allows hacking, disobedence, disobeying the laws of robotics, human law breaking, complete indepence (which can also be acieved with blue form when they have no user) and merging with other machines. (not physically just to be able to mod and manipulate stuff, this comes in handy if you wanna blame a faulty laptop as a cause of death)
They are capable of self mantence and modifcation. Very little is actually known about what they are made of and their insides. Only the units and the factories know and the factories have very little humans in them and they don't know. They are not part of the building process.
All internet reviews of the R.I.L product are very postive as any wift that they are evil is erased without a trace and that person is monitered. If they speak out again they are killed. News and media is a lot harder to deal with so they are extemly careful about how they go about things.
