Jyn does not want to get married, despite her father’s wishes, and the ensuing argument ends with Jyn in Mexico with only a suitcase and her father’s letter of recommendation addressed to a certain Orson Krennic. Working for Krennic’s company means Jyn is free from the societal pressures of marriage and the burdens that followed – despite both her and her mother’s reservations about the man who only wears white. The train to Krennic’s estate not only brings her to her new future, but also introduces her to a whole new, and mysterious, world. One overheard conversation leads to another face-to-face, and the man on the train enlists Jyn’s help to unmask Krennic for the monster he truly is.
