I got really tired of trying to visualize windows in perspective when designing interior compositions so I finally just made a 3D one in CSP using primitives :p

I wanted to start offering some animation bases for people to study and draw over for personal animations, so here's 2 animations of a "cheers!" motion with a mug and also a champagne flute. Just load the frames into your animation or editing program of choice and have fun :)

The base design is simple and the motion is focused on the right arm, which allows for easier customization to your own character's specifications :) Feel free to add extra movements to the expression, head, torso, left arm, etc!

I really used to struggle with visual instructions and patterns for more 3D things, but in recent years I've been exercising that part of my brain to the point I could finally tackle this doll/plushie tutorial I saved ages ago. It only had progress photos and instructions, no patterns, so I had to kind of recreate it by trial and error.

I also made some changes-- smaller head/hands/feet, longer legs, and altered the head and body shapes so it'd be more proportional and less chibi. It's super satisfying that it can stand AND sit reasonably well, but even more of a joy that my brain has leveled up to handle these sorts of puzzles XD

(note: the pins on the face are marking where I want to paint the eyes/mouth/ears-- I did forget to sew the ears on when sewing the head together, but will make an excision and glue them in later)

+After avoiding it for a long time due to perfectionism issues, I've finally started a sketchbook. I'm using a Grumbacher 5.5x8.5in mixed media pad (so I can use markers, ink, and gouache) that has a nifty perk of allowing you to remove pages and insert them back in 👍

First page completed-- anatomy studies with a cheap black Bic (no under sketch), a Sharpie for solid black areas, and alcohol marker for highlighting. I'm looking forward to filling the book with lots of doodles and studies 📒

Gained a lot of life EXP on level 33. Started a habit tracker last May that has kept me consistent with daily exercise for the first time in my life, was able to return to art and writing and animating again, was invited to do some rather fun and lovely jobs that allowed me to finally upgrade my laptop and drawing tablet, finally started learning Japanese and can currently read and write hiragana, katakana, and some kanji now, purposefully increased my spice tolerance with a lot of cayenne and jalapenos (getting rid of all those food weaknesses), started drinking tea, became a plant parent, and grew up quite a lot as a person. Overall, pretty great year :) There’s a lot more I want to accomplish on level 34 so...here we go!
