He caught a glimpse of the young man from afar: the blonde hair and tan skin. Could it possibly be...?

They weren’t exactly the best of friends back in Remnant and he barely knew anything about the monkey faunus but Ren found himself gravitating towards anything familiar to desperately cling onto ever since he wound up here. He waved at the blonde but the others gaze went past him. 

He frowned and lowered his hand after the guy turned away. Surely Sun would recognize him from the few times they’d interacted — or was he just that unremarkable? He sighed; he would usually leave it alone and walk away at that but he’d never found himself this desperate before either.

He reached the man in a few quick strides, gently placing his hand on the others shoulder to get his attention.

“Excuse me, I-”

Getting a closer look at the man as he turned around to face him, Ren suddenly noticed the very distinct lack of tail — or any other features resembling his friend other than skin color and hair (He wasn’t even that tan).
