the plot was such that, considering their arbitrary time travel rules, AT LEAST four different alternate universes were created by their actions. at least.
i hate what they did to nat, i DESPISE what they did to thor, and i'm...flabbergasted that they killed off the characters who stood to lose the most to begin with.
honestly, truly, i feel like some of the actors' ending contracts pushed them to "permanent" endings rather than leaving them open to interpretation. which feels awful, lol.
(on what earth would steve have ever been that selfish, especially when he'd supposedly moved on already??)
@rabbitmagic said: I guess I don't get it, because so many recent 'McGruff the Crime Dad' games have been using these characters the way OitNB used 'Princess White Woman' Piper Chapman to get black and Latina women stories on tv. Take Joel from Last of Us, he's the 'main' character, but who does the player love and learn about? Canon lesbian teen. Fan favorite? A big, gruff gay man the broke all stereotypes. Huge DLC bought in record time? A non-sextualized lesbian story with a POC girl.
which is why i said ‘almost always’. most of these are things you don’t find out about until after you’ve started playing, but the initial trailers did highlight that it was about more than just joel--ellie, tess, and other characters shared as much screentime as he did.
there’s a few other series one could bring up for that--say, uncharted, witcher, and dishonored (to the point where they made emily kaldwin the main/playable character in 2)--but i wouldn’t call a handful of game series in the vast swath of offerings out there to be...many.
and even the examples i named are sort of a YMMV experience; not everyone feels the same way about them. i guess i’d like more games to actually give players the chance to be those characters instead of passively observing them (or saving them) through the lens of the ‘stoic badass’ that the player character often ends up being.

This was originally a photo of my office. It uses AI to generate a vintage style rendition of your photo.
The unit itself is still in development. There's a handful of apps connected to it so far and more in the pipeline. It gets updated all the time. I'll keep you posted.

Okay so! I just moved into a house. The builder It lives in the area, just three houses down, and purchased a lot of these lots during the pandemic because people were just coming on to them and squatting and burning cars? Cars? Removed 47. Burnt out cars from the lot where my house now stands. The lot next door. He is also going to put a cute house on... But currently it is a bunch of junk left over from when there was all the burning and the squatting.
There's also an entire colony of feral cats. I have literally not even unpacked and I spend hours everyday outside trying to get the feral cats and kittens acclimated to me so we can transition them over to my property when he tears down everything over there. And I live in the middle of nowhere so resources for help with this? Well unfortunately the place everybody recommended to me literally just shut down and they were the only game in town so far as mobile feral care.
Luckily, years ago I took care of 430 plus feral cats everyday in the feral building at this cat shelter I worked at. They had like the normal area and then they had this barn, So I am super used to dealing with this... So the right person ended up in the right place to help all of these poor animals.
Except what am I going to do when I acclimate the kittens?! I have three cats!
My sweet boy and the twins! Well. Doesn't matter. Apparently now I have 30 cats.
Good luck with everything, I hope that helped a little!
LOOK AT THOSE BABIES!! This is the best thing I've ever read, and also it's really good of you to help transition them to your property from the one that's getting torn down. Feral cats are hard because they're not just strays, so I get it. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 30 CATS haha! And thank you, this helped!

What’s super sad is… It was SUPPOSED to be this epic animated film, where the cats were… cats. The art style in the concept work is beautiful, it captures the look of the backgrounds in the stage production and it could’ve been this beautiful thing that was its own. Something fresh to enjoy alongside the people in costumes. Read up on the development of the animated project for some heartbreak. We were really robbed.
Yeah, I saw the concept art. It would’ve been really cool to see that, and I’m disappointed we didn’t get it. :\
