Im so pissed.
So fun fact: I have two pet bunnies, 3/4 months old, named Nori and Shoyu, both female Dutch rabbits. I got them for Easter a week ago. 1. It was a surprise, I did not asl for them, 2. Getting pets as presents for your children is stupid, 3. That's two bunnies, one for me and one for my brother. The problems are:
My brother doesn't want a bunny, he has relinquished all responsibility (and he has every right to do so)
My parents did very, very little research on bunnies beforehand and none of us have experience with bunnies, the closest would be my mom who has general animals experience and some farm animals.
We don't have the things and not a lot of space, unless we want to put them in the basement which I don't because I'll not have the motivation to constantly go there, and I don't know how cold or hot it gets down there.
So I've decided we'll be keeping them in my room now. We have people over and they took the bunnies out, the GROWN MAN of a father aggressively grabs my little Shoyu by her hips to pick her up and jokes about squeezing her to death, teaches his seven year old boy thats okay, and my dad does it. This grown man is the obnoxious jokingly "om always right" type and I hate it. It makes me uncomfortable. My dad grabbed the bunny like that too, and the little boy gets scaring them out from under the couch and basically trying to pounce on them to grab them. I finally got them into the cage and then my anxiety is finally settled and then I walk back to the living room and see my own mother setting up the playpen again and the cage open. Fuck you, lady. So I will be putting them in my room after these people leave.
