sending love to everyone who finds christmas/new years difficult, no matter the reason. i see you, i believe in you, you'll get through it. take breaks in the bathroom, line up some self care activities for afterwards, try to keep in touch with safe loved ones. it'll be alright

I google how to cope with outliving your friends. Resources for elderly people pop up. Threads of people in their 70s, 80s, 90s, talking about how they navigated it, helping each other, sharing their coping skills. I put my phone down and sob. I'm not anywhere close to their age. I shouldn't be outliving my friends.
