{♛} —; “Ugh…a kiss to my chest, above my heart.”
Can you tell us what your first kiss with Sebastian was like?
{♛} —; The boy flushed softly to the inquiry, clearing his throat, uncertain of whether or not such a thing should be revealed so easily. After all, it wasn’t as if he was under a truth spell…but neither was it as if it bloody mattered anymore. “…” He sighed softly, giving in, as the question wasn’t terribly personal or improper. “…It…was violent.”
“Sebastian initiated. He leaned over the back of my chair, as I recall…and what we were speaking of was a rather…intimidating subject.” He would reveal no more than this. He would not speak on the dark shadows curling around the legs of the chair…the icy chill of the Demon’s lips as they neared his, the venomous hiss in his voice as it overpowered the pounding of his heart…and he would certainly not speak of the kiss itself; the vicious manner in which lips and teeth and tongue had swallowed him whole, suckling and writhing and improper and heated and chagrining. It had been a deep kiss, especially for a first kiss…it had most certainly been the type of first kiss that a Devil would give.
ALTE-RABE SAID: A RATHER DEFENSIVE GROWL IS HEARD FROM THE SERVANT’S QUARTERS.
{♛} —; "...Is that envy I sense?" The Earl cooed with a soft smirk.
Why do you think he loves you?
{♛} —; “…For many of the same reasons that I love him, I would assume. I amused him at first…and then I surprised him. I intrigued him…and that feeling deepened. I surprised him by going against my nature, and making decisions that normal humans would not make. I believe…that this caused him to see me in a new light; to cease seeing me as a mere human…and once he ceased…he saw the person that I am…and enjoyed what he saw.” He shrugged gently in response. After all, he was simply supposing.
No. All there is to it is that you should take priority over everything, no matter what.
{♛} —; “…..” The Earl was silent, biting down on the inside of his cheek. He knew that the Grey-Face’s words had some semblance of truth. After all, he had chosen the Demon outrightly over Elizabeth… “…He has put me first in many aspects, Grey-Face…and risked his life many times over. Such a decision as whether or not to starve, when the most palatable meal on the planet sits before you…the meal that you have starved for, poured your efforts and blood into for years…you cannot assume that it is an easy decision to make.”
Ciel, I spoke to Sebastian earlier... Were you aware he still intends to devour your soul, despite your relationship?
{♛} —; The boy paused, his soft jaw tightening in a barely tangible way, exhaling through his nose shortly. “…Sebastian…his decision…is yet to be made. I am very aware of the possibility that he will choose my soul over what is…between us.” Yes, very aware…all too aware…
“…But I made my choice the day that I made the Contract. If Sebastian chooses my soul…I will give it to him, without remorse. If that is what I can give that will make him the happiest…that will please him the most…of course it will hurt my heart…but that will simply flavour my soul to be more palatable for him, no? And thus, even that I will not regret. He has done enough on my part…for myself to say…that I wish to give him whatever he desires…for it is what he deserves.” I want to be special to him somehow…I want to be what he wants…even if it is only in that way. How weak I’ve become.
The year is 1912. Ciel is 36 years old. Describe a portion of his life.
{♛} —; There is a comfortable loft that watches over Paris at sunrise and dusk. It is not excessively spacious, but lavish in many other aspects. It houses two creatures, one young, and one inexplicably, inconsequentially old…yet fair of face as he was the day that they’d met. Soft, satin-gloved fingers grace the shoulders of the younger as he stood just sidelong of the grand window overlooking the balcony, the pale curtains masking the darkness in his gaze as his own hand rises to hesitantly kiss the fingers at his own shoulder before holding them tightly to that bone, urging them to not let go…to never let go.
“…Sebastian…” The man murmurs in a low tone, the edges of his timbre having smoothed out with age.
“…Yes, My Lord?” The still-Butler murmurs against the skin of his throat, as his lips had done as they always do these days, and found their way to his jugular in their privacy. Those three words. Still and always those three simply words…
“…You are angry with me.”
This seemed to surprise the Demon, but the Noble knew that it was a false surprise indeed. “…Why do you say this, My Lord?” The answer need not be spoken, but was so all the same, softly. “…I have yet to make my decision.” A quiet hum vibrated against his veins, and it nearly sent a tremor down his spine…nearly. “…This is true…” Replied the Servant. Indeed, it was. It had been true for years now…years, the Demon had been waiting for an answer to his proposal.
A quiet sigh befell the Earl’s lips, which was quickly swallowed by the greedy Demon in a quick yet gluttonous kiss. Still, he continued on. “…How long do you plan to wait?” There was a hint of anger to his tone, which was returned with a calm and dangerous warning from the Demon. “…As long as you do, My Lord.” This was not reprimanded, as it was deserved on his part. Twenty and one. He had vowed that he would make his decision by twenty and one…and he was now thirty and six. Could he truly be blamed? To choose to become a Demon…to change one’s entire nature, body and soul…it was a thought bound to bring hesitation! Still…it was not as if he did not desire to spend eternity with Sebastian…it was…it was just that…
“My Lord.”
The Butler’s curt tone broke the Earl’s train of thought, sharp cheekbone turning over his broad yet slender shoulder to meet a fiery vermilion gaze. As he continued, the Servant’s tone softened, and a quiet kiss was planted upon his Master’s pale cheek. “…If you are ninety and nine, you may still choose what I have offered, Master. You will retain every ounce of youth that you may choose, for your body will appear as you desire it to. I am fully prepared to wait until the day that you are to die, if you continue to hesitate.” The tone darkened, dark nails gently tracing soft circles in the other’s coat through the gloves. “…For at the time of a human’s death…they are certain to feel at least a moment of incomprehensible fear…” Pale lips pressed to a reddened ear, hissing the shadows, bidding them to choke the Earl as dark arms wrapped about his waist.
“…Do you recall the last time that you were at death’s door, Master? Do you recall the decision that you made…?”
Oh, he recalled…he recalled all too well. Oh, the things that he had done, just to stay alive…
“…What will become of you…Master…when your soul is extinguished? The Gates of Heaven have been barred to you…and the only doors that will open will be those of Hell. Do you truly desire Hell, Master…? Or…do you desire…” Desire, desire. Desiring fingers traced the inside of the man’s thigh, influencing the human’s breathing despite his best efforts. Damn this Demon. Damn him.
“…Eternity?” The lips were shrugged off, and the Demon retracted to a more chaste hold, accepting the rejection with a cool smile. “…The choice will be yours, Master…and I have always been patient.”
“…You have indeed.” The man rested back against the taller’s chest in defeat, exhaling deeply. This was all alright. This was as it should be. He had never hesitated before…but so long as the Devil did not depart because he did so…then once…maybe just this once…he could take his time. After all…
Apparently, he had all the time in the world.
