How does Matthias feel about Epsilon?

The thing is, Matthias knows next to nothing about Epsilon. All he knows is that his father is a little obsessive over the essentially dead AI and that whatever is keeping that program running isn’t going to last much longer.

Caboose could go on for hours about Church and say nothing Matt didn’t already know.

Which of the Grif twins is nerdier?

Pauahi started a committee in primary school to try and rename Pluto as a full planet. Nobody had the heart to tell them that Pluto was already a full planet and had been for centuries now.

Alani, however, in fourth grade, made a huge model volcano. With papier-mâché and dinosaur figurines and everything. It promptly exploded when she set it off and everyone in the classroom got soda and mentos in their hair/on their shirts/skin.

They both are still completely obsessed with Simmons’s vintage superhero comics. And still do stuff like the events mentioned above.

So really? It’s up for debate. Grif is surrounded by nerds.

How well do the Grif twins get along?

Alani and Pauahi are pretty close.

They tend to bully each other a little, mostly about their differences in appearance and their current relationships with others in the squad.They take a page out of their parents’ books and call each other names consistently. They also rarely call each other by name, tending to lean more toward nicknames or insults.

how did Ankita end up on the Reds and Blues' side?

That is a good question!

Ankita was roughly 11 during the events of seasons 11-13, including where I diverged RaBVaR from canon. After certain events that included the death of a certain mercenary and the incarceration of his partner, they ended up having to deal with a very angry 11-year-old who was not happy that the people who killed her dad now had technical custody of her.

Because she had no living blood relatives and her remaining father was a convicted criminal, she ended up bouncing around in foster care, and since she was immediately a problem child, few people beyond the Reds and Blues were willing to deal with her for too long. Even then, she hardly regards them as parental figures. She especially hates Tucker.

Amusingly enough, Ankita is fairly friendly with the Tucker/Donut/DuFresne kids, with a momentary exception or two every once in a while.

Alright, now that that’s out of the way, fact time. 

Ankita’s last name doesn’t/didn’t belong to either Felix or Locus. According to the guardian she had before them, her last name came from her biological father.

Ankita is also the oldest person in the Squad. By, at the least, eleven years, as that’s how old she was when all the Chorus crap came to an end. 

Matthias was named after Church, but at present, he doesn’t know and thinks his first name is dumb. 

Epsilon is pretty much dead. He barely works, if he does at all, has the memory span of a goldfish, and runs just about as well as internet explorer. 

Pauahi is agender. Alani will fuck up anyone who misgenders her sibling.

Joy is a transgirl.

Bits was caught in an explosion in the beginning of the war that this story was set in, and half his face is now a scarred mess. He was wearing his helmet at the time, too, so there are still a few pieces of metal welded into his skin. Being half-blind and deaf doesn’t stop him from working on machinery, though. He was very adamant that he was allowed to remain in the hangar and work two months after he gained the injuries. 

Donnie and Donna look a lot like their dad, from a distance. When you get closer, though, you can clearly see the Filipino heritage they gained from Emily. 

Francine is very autistic, and works in medical. She doesn’t get out of the infirmary much, and tends to cuddle in weighted blankets with Junior and Donut whenever they’re around.

Wash and Carolina are in their late fifties/sixties and can still kick your ass.

Kimball is in her sixties and can still kick your ass. 

Matthias and Tyrell are besties and tend to banter much like Church and Tucker did in the first few seasons of RvB. oh the irony

Donnie and Bits have been dating for roughly five years by the time the story starts out. 

Ankita is the saltiest person on the planet at this point, and absolutely despises the BGC. I mean, look at who raised her for seven of the first eleven years of her life.

Ankita was voted most likely to betray her friends in highschool

Alani and Tyrell both learned how to pole-dance thanks to Kai and Donut, and have weekly competitions to see who can go the longest without falling. 

Pauahi plays the ukulele and sings for their friends and other army members from time to time. 

If self-esteem can be inherited, Donnie got Doyle’s. 

Alani will probably sleep with anything on two legs. She’s also colorblind, but not to the same extent as her aunt.

Tyrell ends up with an energy sword at some point. Do with that information what you will. 

Francine and Pauahi are pretty close friends. 

This fic will be as bad as Game of Thrones in terms of how many character deaths I will likely write in the future. 

Most importantly, trixie85592 keeps mixing up Bits’ and Tyrells’ names when we plan the next steps of the fic, and it feels like her subconscious reaaaaaaaally wants Bits and Matthias to be an item.
