Every organizer wants build unforgettable running competition. If you are thinking about new race you should pay attention to the race concept.

You`d like to media were interested in yours event. Every mention in local newspaper, radio or even running blog is free promotion that can kick your race. Journalists look for the readable stories to catch readers attention.

Curious running competitions are willingly shared on social media. Runners build strong community. Recommendation is the big thing can help you build race brand.

How to find catching concept? 

1. Storytelling

Tell story connected with your event.  People are like to talk about  strange and funny races. Have ever heard about horse-man marathon?

It began in pub in Welsh town of Llanwrtyd Wells. Couple fellows were arguing who could be faster during marathon horse or man.  Local landlord Gordon Green decided that the challenge should be tested in full public view, and organised the first event in 1980. 2.  Explore your place 

There is big group of runners looking for races in beautiful places. They like to run and travel and discover new insights. You can find a lot of trail or endurance running or biking races around lakes, in national parks. City marathons there are in this group as well

3.  Charity - races with mission 

Look around, ask friends for sure you find someone you can support. Charity runs help raise funds and point out social issues. Brands and companies are more interested in sponsoring such events. There are foundations focusing on race events to raise money promote their mission.
