Today I learned: Peter Rachman - London's slumdog millionaire

The BBC recently revamped its digital content and made a huge amount available on its new iPlayer radio section.

It's the internet equivalent of a second-hand store; full of knickknacks, curios and loads of content on everything from history to philosophy, science, current affairs and economics. 

I came across a 30 minute radio programme about a particularly colourful London character called Peter Rachman. He was essentially the 1960s London property equivalent of Shylock and even inspired his own entry in the Oxford English Dictionary!
