haha this question will make me seem like a creep but here goes :

I work with racoquillage and mazoku, so I’ve seen them today and of course thought of them. While seeing them. And talking to them and stuff. So them.

tumblonyourface is a really close friend and I’ve been thinking of her today because my cell is dead but I know she sent me a text that I couldn’t read. So I hope she’s ok.

Then there is themostfeminist, I thought of her because I’m gonna steal her idea for a coffee table (not really because I asked her) and I was browsing wood paints. Her blog is also super interesting and I sometimes quote stuff she posts or reblogs in my life, especially while talking feminism with my dad. It’s really informative but at the same time she doesn’t take herself too seriously and I’m just her biggest hidden fan XD

As I work in customer service I think of retailrobin every fucking day because 3/5 customers are blog post worthy. People I swear.

23) 5 years in history that stand out to me and why

Heee I was hoping someone would ask me that one but it’s a tough one to answer. o.o here goes :

1959 : Death of Quebec Premier Maurice Duplessis, kickstarting the Quiet Revolution in the province of Québec, Canada (where I live).

The Quiet Revolution (French: Révolution tranquille) was the 1960s period of intense change in Quebec, Canada, characterized by the rapid and effective secularization of society, the creation of a welfare state (état-providence), a realignment of politics into federalist, and separatist factions. (wikipedia)

It’s basically when everything started to change and when the Catholic Church lost most of its power over Quebeccers.

1939 : Start of WWII. Women are encouraged to work in the factories for the first time, start of feminism.

1944 : End of WWII. I keep the end and start separated because they’re important for two different reasons. If you look at how WWII ended, you can see how it puts everything in place for a lot of conflicts and wars going on right now (Israel vs Palestine for example), just like the end of WWI put everything in place for WWII to start.

1789 : French Revolution. And I am NOT saying that because of Les Mis. I just think it’s a really inspiring period of history, even though it was also a very violent one. I think monarchy is a ridiculous concept and the french revolutionaries held some views I hold today, like free education and equality.

0 : I’m not really religious, but I can’t deny that Christianity had a major role to play throughout history, especially since I’m of european/catholic descent. If it hadn’t existed, everything here would be really different, although I can’t say if it’d be better or worse, or just equally crappy. Church had it’s aweful moments (witch burning, child molesting, working against the interests of the believers) but they also did some good deeds (they took care of the hospitals and schools here until the 60’s, for example)
