Pregnancy update - 20 weeks

so I got my amniocentesis results back... my baby boy is free of trisomy 18 thank god!! They did find some placental appearances (what seem to be blood clots) but they said I don't need to be too worried.

They told me I will have regular ultrasounds to check the bugs growth because of my low papp-a levels which isn't a bad thing.... I get to see my precious little Zhai <3

I haven't been happy with the midwife I was seeing at the antenatal clinic so I have switched to another...

I received a phone call telling me that back in november 2014 - when I was only 6 weeks by the way!!! - tested positive for gestational diabetes.

WELL CHEERS FOR TELLING ME NOW, AT 20 WEEKS!!

Very frustrating situation! I felt so left in the dark and kind of betrayed.

Anyway, I have a dietician appointment with the diabetes clinic next wednesday for three hours (fun times) and they will tell me what I can and shouldn't eat etc.... also have to stop fainting when I get needles because I'm going to have to prick my finger on a regular basis everyday now for the next 4 months I assume?  

SIGH.

I don't feel well today; I feel hot, my vision is all weird and i'm nauseas and depressed. Food and water isn't helping this time round. I'm bored but have no energy to even go anywhere. hmm.

I really hope our 24 week ultrasound shows good growth and that my GD stays stable...

I'm starting to worry a lot about birth but I guess I should just focus on the now because that's a while away, at least we would hope so.
