“If its on the open web it cant be illegal or abusiv-“ SHUT UP
Funny how so many "anti-TERF" accounts are sexually degrading or try to use sexual content as a humiliation tactic. Almost like they're doing this because it's a common way to silence and control women.
But that can't be correct because biological sex and sex-based oppression are made up... right? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As a nerdy woman I wish modern fandom spaces were more keen on intellectually honest discussions of media. I want to talk about stories, characters, and themes I enjoy without constantly being subjected to thinly veiled gendie ideology-- or about how transition could "fix" my favourite female characters. Women have been the backbone of fandom hobbies for more than half a century. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to enjoy your hobbies in this majority female space (which tumblr is, despite many of those women being trans-identified) without being constantly subjected to misogny?
A friend of mine was talking about how one of his great grandmothers had been married at age 14. And started having babies soon after.
Later in her life, she admitted, “I didn’t know it caused that.” In other words, she didn’t know that sex caused pregnancy.
Can you imagine being 14 years old. Married to a nam who is likely older than you, sexually more experienced, and more knowledgeable about the world. (I think socially, sex is seen as desirable and highly sought after by nem, which would explain how even young nem would know about sex and what it causes).
And this nam feels entitled to sex with you after you are married. He will coerce you or even r*pe you. You’re just a child yourself at that point. And all of a sudden you start experiencing these changes to your body (you’d have barely gone through puberty at that point) and you’re PREGNANT.
The absolute rage I have in my soul for all these women and girls who have never gotten the education or access to birth control. It’s gutting. 😩
The biology of power is a game boys play. It is the male way of saying: she is more like the female baboon than she is like me; she cannot be an eminence grise at Harvard because she bleeds, we fuck her, she bears our young, we beat her up, we rape her; she is an animal, her function is to breed.

One thing I’ve got to say to bisexual and straight women is that we really need to start choosing better for ourselves in terms of men. To be clear I don’t mean domestic abuse victims, but instead in the small parts of life.
Men are abundant. Single men especially.
You don’t need to stay with Jakey because you think you can’t do any better! Because you really can, don’t bother sticking around someone because you’re scared of being alone. Common heterosexual relationships favour the man so obviously they’re the common form of cohabitation. Find people you actually want to be around, not someone who fills the void with extra chores and problems.
If you still want to be with men, you need to remember that you can have standards. You don’t have to compromise.
You don’t want him to watch porn and he does? Dump him
He called you a misogynistic slur? DUMP HIM
He doesn’t make any effort to please you in bed? DUMP HIM!!!
Everyone has hard limits in relationships but bisexual and straight women need to enforce them more.
Hate the buyers not the workers.
Creating caricatures of pedophiles to fit a specific demographic is a way of disregarding the widespread and growing issue that it actually is.
Because yes, it is priests, the wealthy elite and creepy reclusive basement dwellers. But by latching onto those groups specifically, you can ignore the rampant abuse present in everyday life.
Online and in real life it's becoming more and more acceptable to exhibit and enforce pedophilic behaviours, but calling it out is deemed as being too "sensitive".
They can defend it as much as they like, but misogyny and pedophilia go hand in hand. And right now, it's being enforced by every class, religion and political side.
